I've been rereading a bunch of books they made us read in high school lately. Mainly because I've mostly forgotten all the plots of them and it'll be a good to really realize what made them so special in the first place now that I'm more mature, it's not an assignment I dread, and I've learned a lot about history and how to really read a book since high school.

Anyway, I'm doing Animal Farm currently and I can't believe how heavy handed it is. Or I guess I forgot how heavy handed it is? Maybe since I didn't grow up learning about the USSR as much since it wasn't around when I was born it was just another book. But it's so heavy handed it's bad but good. I don't know how to explain it

I've thought about doing this too.

Not exactly sure.
update, baby went back to sleep after an hour yesterday, but woke an hour later.........then it was DH's turn. I got three more hours of blessed sleep. Baby refused to nap for DH so in the end it was worth it. Of course then last night he was up more than often, including 15 minutes before my alarm. So we go into his room to let DH sleep. Get him some breakfast and try to convince him to go back to sleep. He coughs a bit and proceeds to spit up everything he ate down my shirt. But then he chilled while I got ready (and tried to rid of the spit up smell) and got him to sleep 10 minutes before I left. So hopefully he got a good nap in now.

Not being a jackwagon, but I honestly don't remember our kids having that much trouble sleeping outside the first couple months. And I did get up a considerable amount of the times that the kids woke up. Is he collicky or something?

View attachment 60894 You should all be jealous. The place we’re staying tonight (before a 6 a.m. flight) is just like grandma’s house. Well, not my grandma but someone’s grandma. Look closely.
They're being cautious. Everyone knows you get arrested if you remove tags from mattresses & pillows. ;)

Last day at work for two weeks. I have 25 hours to burn before the end of the week so I am going to work from home very little the rest of the time while hanging out with the kids.
Weird trying to get used to seeing ‘Collins Aerospace’

Says it is a must have stocking stuffer (an ad I got). I don't see the purpose of it. Is it a neck exercise? Looks like she is sleeping. Replace a pillow? seems weird to want to nap/sleep in the doorway.

DeeDee’s haircut is not helping her forehead.

Also, didn’t know Jared Patterson worked there. We worked together on the NIACC newspaper a million years ago.

He was at the globe gazette for a long time. AJ brought him in for some blog and webiste off air type things. The globe is now printed in DM and local stuff is disappearing so he probably saw his job in jeopardy and jumped when he could.

Nope, just wakes up frequently. Though not to jinx it, the past week has gotten better. It's possible we've been going through the 4 month regression since Thanksgiving which is where they stop doing as much deep sleep and transition to like REM or something so they wake up more between sleep cycles until they adjust.

Though to be clear, yesterday he woke at like 7am which isn't really "early" for him but since he got to bed later and was up around 1am when we were getting him home and into bed, I was hoping he'd sleep longer. Especially since I was up til 1:30, then again at 4 to feed him so I wanted more sleep. Something like 40% of babies don't sleep through the night until 5 months or older. And experts consider "sleeping through the night" to be six hours, lolololol. Though I did read an article saying that babies who wake more and take longer to sleep through the night are more intelligent. So I'm pretty sure I've got the next Einstein here!

Today's 6:15am was a bit early but he was struggling to fart. IDK when they figure that out but I hope it's soon.

Maybe part of ours is mine and the wife's sleep schedule. She is a 9pm to bed and up at 5 person. I am a 1 am and up at 7 person, so there is usually only 4 hours that are totally down in our house.

OK, this is for @ImJustKCClone, @BoxsterCy, and anyone else who is a fan of big band music. Two of the greatest drummers in history going head to head. (You decide who wins.) And BTW I am a big band fan myself, particularly Glenn Miller.

Buddy Rich.
And now you know where Jennifer Hudson gets her "throwing her shoe" thing on "The Voice". :D

I knew at one point he was at the Globe, because I know he went there right after NIACC.

Ok, I'll probably lose some man points here but I made hummus yesterday for the second time. It came out great, I think maybe because I used real lemon juice instead of the reconstituted stuff.

I had it once at a hotel. Was nervous because it looked like something one of my infants may have discharged when sick. Then I tasted it and thought maybe I fell for the nasty prank and gagged a little. Took a few drinks to wash that stuff down. Others seemed to enjoy it, but I just didn't find it good one bit at all.

If you like it, run with it. Who cares. It's just one of those things I don't understand.

The first time I had it was by accident. I was at the Greek place getting something to go and they have this fiesty feta they sell as a side. I wasn't thinking and ordered the hummus as a side to use as a dip for the peta. I was surprised.
