Offensive line coach and

The OL has had some good moments. All facets were clicking in games against OSU and WV. Our OL is also very young. They will be better next year for sure. Campbell is in a better position than we are to decide who will lead them going forward.
Are they very young?

They’re simply limited physically and not particularly sound fundamentally. I don’t think that changes too much with another year given four of them will be rs seniors. Bad OLs are hard to hide, but we don’t even try to sometimes.

He's just wrong. Football is all about the matchup's and X's and O's. Numbers and angles and such.
Correct, but players make the plays. Everyone has xs and os. I believe CMC was going to do nothing but basics hell or high water. I love our current situation going into a bowl game. Not a happy football building right now. Sometimes you need shocked to move forward.

It’s a talent problem not a tactical problem on the o line. They whiffed in that first class when they nailed almost every other position. Probably still another year away from being good, the talent is being upgraded, they just need to develop them now.

These guys can coach the O line, what they’ve done with that talent the last two years is impressive.

Before the season did I think we would be one win from the champ game and sugar bowl? Was optimistic but didn’t really think so. So would have to say the team has exceeded my expectations in 2018.

Do I think a OC, better OL, and better special teams staff would have had us in Dallas today and win or lose heading to a sugar bowl? Maybe hard to say. We were close and those areas seem to be what held us back (and maybe not having Montgomery first half of TX game).

What I do know is the last time we were this close to a champ game and cotton bowl appearance was probably 2005. The next year we fired our coach. So we need to be sure we keep positive support behind this team and staff so we keep improving and don’t don’t digress. If we can replace peavy next year (and anyone that leaves for nfl) we should be in a position to keep increasing our expectations but need to do it in a constructive supported fashion. Not a 2006 fashion.

I’m fine with throwing these guys under the bus. But if you don’t have a talented OL, you may need to be creative and hide them as much as possible. Tough task, but we were stubborn to a fault in a few games

I have a completely different opinion on whether they should add an OC fwiw. I’m hoping the only reason they didn’t hire one last year was because they couldn’t find anyone suitable in that short of time frame.

but we were stubborn ON PURPOSE to create a lasting certain type of team. I didn't always like it at Toledo, but now see why it was done then and being done now.

Definitely getting that feel from Campbell in games that we should win. Conservative play calls, limit mistakes, rely on better players to win the games. It doesn’t win many style points, but it does win games (but sometimes feels like we’re a play away from losing).

Felt that way many times my friend. Win games we should without flare. In every game and steal a few. Lose an occasional close one. Rarely get beat bad. CMC BALL

Yes we went 8-4 this year, however there are definite areas that need improvement. For one, I don't feel like we've played a "good" game since WVU. That's a problem. Just because we had a good record doesn't mean we can't point out things that need to be addressed. This season was not perfect.

Hey, I found our next OL coach.

With that sloppy tie and collar??? Do not want. If you can't tie a tie and button your collar properly, how the hell are you going to be a leader?

Going into this game today, ISU was #100 in Total Offense in the country, and #39 in Total Defense.

We need a better OL coach and OC, it's obvious. Special Teams too obviously. CMC seems like a pretty stubborn guy though, so I won't hold my breath.
