Are we really gonna end this thread at 713 pages? Bad luck, I’m telling you.

Looking at the radar, driving over for the game probably wasn't one of my better decisions. I think most of my life has been based on "not one of my better decisions"

Holy crap it sucks out there.

It has been raining hard in Ames for the last few hours, plus we get the bonus of being on the freezing edge of the rain. I do not envy anyone going to the game today—so many free tickets out there.

@BCClone Working concessions for a wrestling tournament a couple hours today. Haven’t looked at who will be there. Any knowledge of HD this year? Sounds like they had a strong start, a classmate of mine has a son who is a freshman and he got 2 pins. My cousin’s son beat a ranked wrestler. Gilbert also won their first dual.

Not exactly sure.
Hired a guy to side moms house. Lost his job so I pulled it from a contractor to help him out. Said it would be done 11/15 no matter what, well it is far from that. Been putting in a few hours here and there the last couple days. Now has a little done all the way around the house but one back side. It will make the house look a whole lot better. With mom pushing 88, I figured a few bucks would make the house seem so much nicer down the road and help a friend at the same time.

Says he is lining up jobs and will probably move after first of the year. Son is doing the building trades class in school, I told him to pay close attention to the siding job. I may need any help I can get come January.

Not much knowledge on HD(which includes CAL now), so I pulled up track. Track showed them with basically a full lineup so that goes a long ways. In the past they would have 4-5 forfeits I remember seeing. I looked at their Algona dual since I know Algona somewhat. I would put Algona in the, if you have a full line up and no major holes, you should beat them category. They beat them 46-31 so they must have a decent line up.

I know nothing of Gilbert except we wrestle them this year in a quad with Algona and Emmetsburg. Should be a loaded quad with what I know of those two and us. First time we have had a full lineup in over 10 years. Won thursday 82-0, 63-12, and like 76-4.

Wish we would have found a tourney somewhere. Independence has theirs this weekend a college coach told me (they were slated for BV today but cancelled) and that usually kills a lot of potential openings.

Siding is pretty easy and quick once you get the first couple rows on. How tall is the house? More height is the worst part.

Should have gotten your input when the concessions manager was asking for food ideas for the tourney. They tried Casey’s breakfast pizza one year but had a lot left over. They were going to do cinnamon rolls this morning and pulled pork sandwiches for lunch. Our usual “real food” is hot dogs, walking tacos, nachos grande (basically a walking taco on nacho chips), and teriyaki chicken sandwiches.
