One of the guys at my work is taking December off for the second year in a row to work as Santa. I had no idea how lucrative it could be. He asked for $300 an hour for Christmas Eve/Day and the same for NYE/Day because he didn't want to work then anyway. But he got two gigs those days and they didn't even bat an eye at the rate. I think he usually gets around $100-150 per hour. This year he is going to ask for $400 on those days to see what happens.

He is setting it up as his retirement gig since he is very close to pulling the plug on his job here.

Not exactly sure.

I just get offered alcohol. Not worth much to a guy who can't finish a 12 pack in a year. So it's always for free. Must be why I had a handful last time and last a whole afternoon.

She was thrown in the well. If you saw it you'll remember this. Once seen it can't be unseen.

And away we go!
We're special.
Quality, not quantity
Not gonna go there.
Babies are us.
(Sorry, just thinking about titles for the new RTT)

I KNOW! We went and saw Santa last week (see attached photo) and he said, "So, that one is ALL BOY, isn't he?" as my preschooler was ninja-jumping off of a bench. They're not babies for long! So definitely cherish every second and write down stuff as you go along so you remember it!

Same here! But the problem in our house is that I'd be the one to go to jail if they did commit the murder, right? So we can't have that.
Omigosh - vest & tie! So cute!

Don't blink.

Tis the season to get into arguments on when to get together for Christmas. For whatever reason my mom has this unspoken rule so to speak that we must get together on the holiday. As if it doesn't count on any other day. I think this is partially the reason why we didn't do a Thanksgiving with them this year as it was our year to go to MrsWx family on that day not to where they were going. Since we are with MrsWx family on the 25th this year (trade off every year) she wants the 24th. I told her that MrsWx is volunteering at the 2PM service so she will need to leave at 1 to get there. Not to mention our daughter will nap in the morning so there won't be much time and I would rather have a full day to enjoy together than be time limited. Joy to the world...
It doesn't get any better as your kids get older. If you have a reasonable explanation, just block out the whining and criticism. You can't be everywhere and it doesn't do any good to stay upset about it. Also, if you remain positive while speaking to your mom, it just frustrates her more and that's worth something.

I would more say quantity over quality here. We don't post our JLH gifs here so the post quality is lower.

@NWICY on the way to SD, check in the ditches for a vehicles lots of baked goods. Seems like the bird hasn't checked in since her trip up there. May have hit a slick spot and are living off of cookies and pies.
