Stan Lee passes away at 95

RIP to a legend. Hopefully there are more creative people out there, so we have to something to watch other than superhero movies eventually.

RIP. Not a comic book guy but I can appreciate what he did for those who enjoy them.

For me when I think of him I always go back to his appearance in the movie mallrats.

I pulled up that scene as well as that was the first thing I thought of.

It's cool he got to see his creations reach a whole new level over the past 15-20 years with the MCU taking off. RIP Lee

A true icon and I guarantee he always thought these creations would rock the movie world.

Had to wait till his 90s but he was right.

As a kid I didn't have many friends and got picked on a lot for being a nerd. Back then you could get beat up for liking comic books, but I didn't care. Those things changed my life. Stan Lee impacted so many people with his stories and the characters he created. Not many kids were into comics when I was growing up and now every kid is a fan... well, they are a fan of the characters because of all the movies over the last 10 years, but most don't actually read the comic books. When I left Iowa in 1999, I left my comics behind and planned to go back for them when I was able to. My dad sold them for beer money. Loser!

Anyways... Stan lived a long and amazing life, but this is still sad for many people. RIP
