***Rumor K-State & Snyder

I thought that third one looked lame but you are right it is clearly by the letter of the rule. I'm sure I wouldn't think it lame if the hit had resulted in a leg injury to Purdy as the danger of that is why that type of hit is illegal.

I thought a similar call on ISU earlier in the season was lame as well as the player was being blocked which resulted in him being unable to control his low hit on the QB. But again, letter of the rule.

I know the play you are talking about. There was 90 seconds left in the Okie State game. Benton got called for roughing. That allowed them to get their final TD. Actually this rule has some exceptions and one of them is that it is NOT roughing the passer if you are blocked into the legs of the QB. That is why the rule says it applies to a defender rushing unabated. So we likely should not have been penalized there. I'm not complaining but that was a subjective call and the ref appeared to maybe fail to see that Spencer was pushed by the offensive lineman which caused him to lose his balance and fall into the QB. He was not "unabated." But I think refs often err towards safety of the players, especially QBs.

Does anyone else find it hilarious how fast kstates fans and media have turned on Snyder. How many lame duck seasons did we have with coach Mac and even rhoads before they were let go. Snyder is kstates only success and they turn on him after one season. Pathetic.

It's sickening and absurd. Thankfully, his kids aren't like too many fans (if only one) and the media, which is akin to a snake in the hen house.

{peaks head in} Eastern Kansas and anything West of Lawrence are two different places, don't lump most of us (Eastern KS) in with them.
Do you just live in Kansas, or were you raised in Kansas? Big difference. I'm still an Iowan, I just happen to live in western Washington (which, like you said, is a totally different world than the eastern 2/3 of the state).

In level of weirdness, I'd say from my experience Canadians are weirdest, Hoosiers are a close second, and Kansans are a distant third. But the Canadians I've worked with (mostly from BC) are also self deprecating, so they're fun-weird not just weird-weird.

I grew up there, went to grade and high school in Overland Park. Live in KC now (via Iowa and Denver), but live in the city which is MO. I still identify as an Eastern Kansas though as its where I was raised.

Well, that explains a lot.

Pretty good authority Snyder is stepping down this week, before the ISU game. Because OF COURSE. "I don't care where Sean goes, but it won't be K-State."

Look for Seth Litrell to get hired pretty quick.
