Nebby is improving...just that it is against a garbage-filled BIG West. Iowa's record over the past several years has been padded by this creampuff schedule...hence the Fake-ID of college football.

Martinez is good though...another true freshman producing quality numbers.

Huskers gave out 4 more black shirts this week bringing the total to 12. I guess giving up only 474 yards to Minnesota and having your defense ranked 101 in the country is noteworthy.

Martinez is good but a lot of it is because of the offense. It is that Oregon offense where you really just spread things out, make easy passes to athletes in space and let them do their thing and the QB is also a running threat. Oh and play really fast on offense. I don't think he can continue to carry so much of the load though. he was injured once already and with that much running he is bound to get hurt again. He had major shoulder surgery last year in HS when he tore his labrum.

Oh and Nebraska's defense is still really bad. And despite them putting up a ton of offensive numbers their offense still isn't very efficient.

Frost will get a longer leash than most at Nebraska. He’s a home grown boy. Look at allied Kingsbury. He’s gotten twice the number of seasons as Tommy Tubberville at Texas Tech, without even having a winning record.

I AGREE with your assessment cyrocks...Good ol' FrostBite will be given an eternity to turn around that dog dung of a football program over in Lincoln, having said that, it will be interesting how patient the big er little red fan base will be with 2 or 3 more years of mediocre ....Losing football.

As odd as it sounds, losing to Troy was huge for Frost. It made some fans think they could realistically not win a game all year. Now any wins are gravy and he'll get credit for getting everything he could out of this depleted roster.

I've lived most of my life in Husker country, their fans are too arrogant to admit they were over confident this season (they are the smartest fans in cfb you know...). The criticsim of Frost will come at him like it did Solich, Callahan and Bo, after they have a good start or set the bar even remotely high. Once their fans sniff even a tiny whiff of success, they are magically transformed to mid 90's and back on their high horse.That's when they are likely to turn. For as bad as he was, the fan base was always pretty even keeled about Mike Riley, that's because he gave them no taste of success.

Ohio State 77, Nebraska/Philips 10. 10 points scored in absolute garbage time....I hope Urban Meyer never takes his heel off the throat....but he will have to use some backup freshman and the proud Huskers will get 10 points.

Post game interview Scott Frost will say that Ohio State has learned to out-Nebraska Nebraska and they just got to get back to their rightful place.

They all say that they are so welcome by Iowa fans to the BIG. They don't realize that Hawkeye fans could give a rats *** about NU, they thought this would end the BIG 12 and kill ISU.

I don't see that. Ohio State is still playing for a playoff spot. It is all style points until the Michigan game, and Urban Meyer is a prick.

Uh, the Nebraska/Iowa rivalry is one of the most storied traditions in all of college football. At least that’s what they tell me.

Someone pointed out that the loss to Troy probably saved his job. Convinced fans that the team he inherited was worse than they thought. Besides, they are stuck with him financially.
