TV help for KU, Direct TV

Hoping someone will have a solution

I am out of the country and the hotel doesn't have the game. I have Direct TV and have every online streaming option that they offer. It doesn't appear I can get the game, but I'll bet people on here are smarter than me. Things I've tried that do not appear to work:

1) Streaming on Fox Sports Go APP using Direct TV login

2) Streaming through the Direct TV APP on my phone

3) Streaming on my computer on Direct TV website

4) Recording to my DVR, then accessing my DVR playlist using Direct TV APP on my phone. This might actually work but I don't know when it shows up on my DVR list -- looks like it takes a while

5) Local establishments don't have the game

6) I am not willing to use one of those illegal streams (work computer)

What is your DirecTV billing zip code? That determines your regional sports network. You could also just add the Sports Pack to get all the regional sports networks.

This. You can't access most programming out of the country. I ran into that issue while traveling before (I use PSVue as my provider).

I've never done it...but I believe you can use a VPN client to stage your IP address as an domestic one and it would work.

The obvious answer is to buy a plane ticket back to the states, watch the game at the airport bar, then fly back to whatever country your in . Problem solved. Bonus points if you do a round-trip ticket and do a couple hour layover and fly out on the same plane you flew in with.

I think that's how I watched an ISU BB Tournament game once from my hotel in the UK. I think I RDPed into my PC at work and then opened up a browser there.

Just FYI... Doesn't look like FS North will be carrying the game. I'm showing ND Volleyball in the timeslot on my guide. Also not showing on any of my alt channels. Going to have to find another way to watch if you get FS North.

FS North Plus will be carrying the game. Check your channel list for the Fox Sports North alternate channel.

Yeah. Checked that too... Soccer on Alt1 and another Volleyball match on Alt2 . Other two still say Off Air. Hopeful it changes...

Using a VPN is a great idea. I have one, but never thought of it. I will be flying back on Saturday and DirecTV is very limited while the plane is outside the US. But if I buy the wifi pack and connect to my VPN, that just might work. If so, I owe you one!

Sign up for a 5 day free trial of PS Vue. I did that tonight and confirmed I have the FSN channels for the game Sat. PS Vue also has the LHN which could come in handy in a few weeks.

Just tried to use my VPN to watch the UCF game on the ESPN website. Didn't work. Still made me sign in with a cable company of the country were I am. Now that I think about it, I think my VPN only gives me access to our company database. Darn.
