Tomorrow is going to suck. Big ash tree. It's going to be a ****** mess. It's across the street from the place we were at today. When I first saw it I said to myself, "I feel sorry for whomever has to take that down". Boss goes over and talks with the guy, I'm sure he's going to tell him it'll be a while before we get to it, comes back over and says we're doing it tomorrow. ****.

Moved into my place today. Went to IKEA to buy all of my ****. Came up to $1000 for basics like bed, couch, entertainment center, table, etc. My ******* card got declined. Called up Wells Fargo to find out what the **** was going on and apparently for some reason my card has a $500 daily limit on it? Have never put that much on my card, so had no idea. They said they couldn’t raise it over the phone and I just had to go into a location to raise it. Meanwhile I’ve got a ton of **** just sitting there at IKEA. “Well just write them a check” WF tells me. It’s 2018! Who the **** carries their check book around with them.

I won’t lie, I typically am one to keep my cool, but I kind of lost it on them. To the point where I said “so can I close my account over the phone or do I have to go to a location for that too?” They connected me to file a complaint, was on hold for 5 minutes, someone picked up then hung up on me.

So I go to a WF and withdraw the money so I can buy my ****. Get back to IKEA and pay and take it over for them to ship it to my place. Missed the cutoff for the day by 10 minutes. Now I have to wait until tomorrow. So I’m sitting in my apartment with no furniture at all. I had to BEG them to at least let me take my mattress THAT I ALREADY HAD PAID FOR just so I had something to sleep on tonight.

Not a good experience today. Will be bank shopping tomorrow.
I jettisoned WFB about 40 years ago. My father sent us a cashier's check for my portion of the inheritance from my Grandfather's estate. I deposited it. We paid bills. The checks bounced because WFB put a hold on the deposit. It was a ******* cashier's check from a major bank and they put a 10 day hold on it. We got late fees & bounced check fees from our creditors, plus (insult to injury) bounced check fees from WFB. I went ballistic and took it up the food chain until I finally got a manager to agree to refund what WFB charged us, and to write letters of apology to each of our creditors, along with covering the late fees and bounced check fees they charged us. After they made good on everything, we closed our account and took all of our money elsewhere. Will never work with them again.

You paid for the mattress, why did Ikea want you to not take it home? Hell just one less thing for the delivery person to drop off.

Go full SHOCK AND AWE.

See! **** Wells Fargo and that cheesy **** stagecoach they rode in on!

BTW, credit union guy for the last 35 years or so and have not been bank ****** for decades.

Only bank I liked was Norwest (CWW#2 worked for them for a while) but than Wells ******* Fargo bought them and than they was no more.

Watching repeat of Mecum auctions, Chicago. KC's "Baby" 280ZX 1983 went for $10K.

Like watching these more affordable days before they get to the one-percenter cars.

I love that part of Edward Mahoney's video for "Walk on Water" when the super model kicks the framing.....so cool.

Racking up the OT baby!! I'm guessing in your position maybe not. I'm guessing you're salaried. Do you get to build up comp time?

No OT, no official comp time. Bosses do ler us off early sometimes in exchange. Oh well, thats the ag industry in the fall O guess.

The fact that Im still awake is a minor miracle and makes me not look forward to tomorrow.

You and Lew just need to do few Mecum's and you could bring a new Baby home.
We've actually talked about going down to Arizona and getting one...but it's really a pipe dream. As much as I loved Baby, she's not designed for an old lady. She had low slung bucket seats that would kill my back...and I would probably require a chain hoist to get me out of the seat. ;)

Truth. Got a ride back to dealership today and they picked me up in a new Porsche Macan (nice), one of the little SUV crossover thingies. Easier to get into than the Boxster.

Let a gal friend drive the Boxster a couple of weeks ago. She used to own an old Porsche with her ex and drives stick but she was having trouble adjusting since she now drives a Jeep SUV. "It's so low!"
