Now that I think about it, I was probably more Lowry Hill than Loring Park.

1930 Aldrich Ave S. Like a block from Burch Steakhouse and Sebastian Joe’s Coffee and Ice Cream. Walking distance to all of the cool coffee joints, restaurants and bars in Uptown on or off of Hennepin.

See I always had the interstate as the cut off but I know some folks had Franklin there as the cutoff. Also Sebastian Joes.... I miss that place.

I had no idea that was a thing or that I was that close, but yeah, apparently. Lake of the Isles was only a few blocks away from me. On nice days I’d just throw my headphones in, walk down there and take a stroll around the lake.

My son had 3 friends over last night to make Mexican food as a project for Spanish class. If the thought of four 15-year-old boys working with flames and knives in your kitchen isn't frightening near Halloween, nothing is.

I wondered when I was shopping why the tray with the cowgirl grillers was empty. At first I thought, "Damn, those are popular". Then I got home and saw them on the channel 8 news.

Nope. The girls and I ate separately.

I actually took care of cutting up the chicken. I figured that we didn't need to turn our house into Salmonella Village.

I have debated wither or not to post this and I know we keep politics out of here but the funny/sad irony of this story makes it enjoyable to me.

Saturday night my in-laws took us all out to Cheddar's (at least it was a halfway decent chain place this time) to thank us for helping get their house ready to sell. The waitress brought all of our drinks and made a very dramatic comment along the lines of "We aren't supposed to give out straws unless you ask for them because of ya know the oceans". This played right into my wife's very conservative grandfathers heart and he laughed loudly.

less than 30 seconds later he was making a comment that he was concerned about our daughter chewing on a straw because she might choke...

Better fast than long and drawn out and then realize you are 2-3 years down the road. At least my opinion.

Had to do a double check that we didn't get any last week. Went to grill pork chops last night and damn did I want those...then I got them on the grill and they were starting to turn green on one side. So we had pizza.

I did have a mini interview yesterday for a position and it went really well. Actually something I would be interested in too. But... I could live in Madison instead for the job.

We have an empty seat at our gamewatch table where Pants used to sit. Can introduce you to Joanna and make Pants envious.
