HUGE change in weather last night....got home shortly after 5 and put on shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt to mow the yard. Wind was very strong out of the south. Took about an hour, got done and went inside....the vixen showed up about 20 minutes later, the wind had switched to the west and it was cooling off FAST. By bedtime, wind straight out of the north - and when I got to work this morning, it was 36. Fifty degrees colder than last evening.

Just curious, did you discover you're lactose intolerant? Sorry for the density, I just don't remember why you had to give up dairy. If I had to, I think I'd die. No butter? Or cheese or milk? Just take me now.

They think maybe the calf is.

btw, here is what my oldest was for his first halloween. Had a button on the chest that made a moo sound also

God this line in the statement of work will be the death of my new project.

[My company] will provide a [Customer Company] compliant cloud pc.

Compliant device defined by the customer is no bueno from a time perspective, especially when no one on their side wants to be the one to "sign off" on it.

Baby might have an issue with the milk protein. We're trying caffeine as well. And yeah, no cheese, ice cream or way to stay awake? I'm pretty much dead

With everything that's happened (or not happened and should have) in my life this week, my first thought is to label it a comedy of errors. Except none of the bad things are true errors and none of it fits with comedy.
However, I just read something that made me smile. If you want a chuckle and opportunity to learn a new word, try this. http://nowiknow.com/tittle/
And no, it's not a misspelling.

So when my dad died, we turned his Facebook page into a rememberance page so people could still like, view his pictures and post on there occasionally and ****.

There’s this woman that keeps posting on there talking about how his spirit is visiting her at night and like, you know....doing things.

60+ years ago I had chicken pox while still in diapers. So, a couple of years ago I got the Zostavax vaccine for shingles. Two weeks ago, acting on the advice of my doctor, I got the first dose of the Shingrix vaccine (a more effective vaccine). I should be doubly covered, right? Right???

So riddle me this - how the hell am I the unlucky SOB who has now been diagnosed with shingles????

On the left side of my back, at the waistband...annoying as all get out. Makes me grateful that I'm retired and don't have to put on clothes unless I'm going somewhere...
My wife just got the first vaccine about a month ago. She didn't get shingles, but the vaccine kicked her ass, for about a week! She's now concerned the second round will do the same.

Couldn't lift my arm above my shoulder for several days...felt kinda flu-like for the first couple of days. My arm is fine now, and the shingles on my back is NOT caused by the Shingrix. It is far more uncomfortable than the sore arm; it has been going on for two weeks, and is still there every time I lean back in a chair or car seat; every time I wear pants. My plan is to go ahead with the second dose, because I firmly believe that my shingles are not nearly as bad as they would have been without the vaccine(s) I've received. Mine have not turned into open sores like they show on TV ads recommending the vaccines.

My advice to your wife - GET THE SECOND SHOT!
A) if she doesn't, it renders what she's already done much less effective
B) the sore arm & mild flu-like symptoms are WAY less uncomfortable than shingles.

She will -- others are advising her of the same. No sense in me telling her, though. She rarely takes MY advice.
