MLB: ***Official 2018 Chicago Cubs Season Thread***

I can't change it, because I don't want to see any more of them.
I'm SOOO happy that we aren't playing the Pirates in our final 3 game set - they have generally had our number this season. And, Williams (who you guys face tonight) has been our Kryptonite. I'm excited to watch the game tonight and, BTW, congrats on making the playoffs.

Spoiler teams were more fun when it was us, but then that meant we weren't good, so that wasn't fun.

It is a little less foreboding today than yesterday since no matter what happens the Cubs still have a chance to continue playing. A wildcard game would be a big let down though.

The winner of the Central will have home field advantage through the NL. The loser will have to play on Tuesday, and then not have home field advantage in any series through the playoffs. Giant letdown is an understatement.

I get what is at stake. I'm just relieved that the ticket is punched even if it ends up not being in first class. That was starting to look less and less likely the last couple of weeks.

Lester doesn't have his good stuff but he's fighting like hell.

Thankfully he'll get a few more days of rest before his first post season start. With any luck, the Cubs won't have to use Hamels again to finish up the regular season

Not his best stuff, but he's gotten out of some jams masterfully.

Good to see the bats waking up over the last 2 nights.
