Not exactly sure.
Slightly cavey. Minnesota folks - have you seen the Dean Phillips political ads (both pro and con)? I have no idea what he's running for but this is the most bizarre campaign I've ever seen. Basically, he is somewhere between Mother Theresa and Idi Amin.

One trivial thing about Amin, I don't know if I've ever heard of an Army cook eventually being the main commander of the army.

so this is kinda horrible but I read it somewhere and used it. Put fruit rinds or whatever they came in for on a tray in the oven overnight/during a day and leave the oven door cracked open. Then when you get home or wake up, shut the oven door and turn it on.

It worked. I think you can also use like fruit rinds in a container and then put plastic wrap over it with a small hole? They can find their way in but not out.

I think that procedure you described above is called "Holocaust".

Now there is a good book! It led me into reading some other mountaineering books. Even though Everest is supposedly a giant long slog reading that cured me of entertaining that idea even if I had the money. Now a trip through Nepal with maybe a stop at Base Camp so I could see Everest would be pretty darn neat. Not too expensive it doesn't seem once you get there. Getting there would be the kicker though.

If you are into mountaineering you have to watch a movie called "Touching the Void". Unforgettable story.

Don't want to start a cave thread here, but am I the only one who thinks Cindy Axne sounds like a guy? (That certainly wouldn't keep me from voting for her, though.)

Watching this ad that has replaced my swimsuit women, think its a nightgown. Otherwise it's one of those oversized T-shirts that some women try to claim as a dress. We had a girl in church wear that type of stuff about 7-8 years ago. Was always concerned when she helped collect offering, that she might have a check or cash fly out of the plate and she would have to bend over to pick it up. Some folks would probably have gotten one heck of a view.

Side note, she girl ends up marrying possibly one of the dumbest guys I have ever encountered. One of those that actually slightly slurs his words kinda dumb.

This seems to be the thing these days. A child in the 2nd or 3rd generation of a successful family business runs for office. I think its because they get bored with the family business because the previous generation did all the work and hired good people to run the business and the kids just don't have much to do.
Plus they also have the money to pay for the campaign. We have this young guy in Omaha that ran for Mayor a few years ago. Something like 95% of his campaign contributions was from his father. His campaign was he would bring an NFL team to Omaha and blamed the current mayor for ConAgra leaving Omaha (New CEO didn't want to move so he moved ConAgra to Chicago)

I think one of the lowest budget beginning campaigns that I can remember was when Bill Sailor ran for Senate (I remember this because I had a couple classes with him at ISU and he was outspoken then). He started about three years before and just drove around talking to people. I didn't pay much attention, because I had heard there was a congressman going to run an figured it would be him against Harkin. When it got close to the primary, he was knocking on the door and it seemed all that driving around worked, but he did lose so it actually didn't work.

She has a deep voice, to be sure...but I find her voice easier to listen to than Joni Ernst or Kim Reynolds. I'm not real fond of squeaky nasal voices. :)

Guy was a total maroon. They should seize his plane and give it to you, after they fix it.

Sadly that plane is likely totaled although WDSM might be able to get some parts off of it. Aviation is very unforgiving. Due to the impacts and prop strikes the prop is trash and the engine will have to be torn down if not trashed altogether. (at least $50k right there). Cirrus is a composite aircraft so there is likely delamination within the skin even if it doesn't appear to be damaged from the outside. Not to mention damage to struts, wheels etc.

Moral of the story...he likely had a low or dead battery maybe a bad starter. Due to his negligence of fixing those problems that would likely have cost maybe a grand or two if it was the starter he likely totaled his beautiful $150k airplane.

Her voice probably wouldn't keep me from voting for her but the fact that her name is almost spelled like acne might. It's also almost like Acme which leads me to believe that she might be an inept, canine supervillain.

My personal philosophy on politics...

Those that are smart enough and competent enough to run for political office are smart enough and competent enough NOT to run for political office.

(There are exceptions, of course.)

That guy in Omaha ran for State Treasurer this last go round. Lost again. If you read his campaign stuff you would swear he was still running for Mayor of Omaha.
