I see that you are a Constitutional scholar (as well as a gentleman).

The term is almost enough for me to cave this thread but I won't. We had a political shock jock who shtick was his self proclaimed title of "constitutional scholar." Kind of "scholar" who asked on air if it was too politically incorrect to call women sluts. So, of course, he got elected to congress. I would not brake for this guy and who sue his estate for the damage to my car. Would go full Boxster.

Not exactly sure.
In the last week I have seen 2 guys on 2 separate occasions wearing shorts that were much shorter than normal. We are seeing another shift in "fashion."

At least they weren't cargo shorts. View attachment 57378

If this was it, you were probably at male strippers. Change bars, unless that is your thing, then don't complain.

Todays earworm. Pretty sure I am going mad.

She's a witch of trouble in electric blue,
In her own mad mind she's in love with you.
With you.
Now what you gonna do?
Strange brew, kill what's inside of you.

Maybe some yard chores and mower noise will help. o_O
You could've picked worse.

I wanted to get up to DBQ to see that landing craft but it was not in the cards this weekend.

Planning to try in Bettendorf on Thursday. Been hearing bad news about crowds and line blocks long. Does not seem ideal. Guess there were tours but they were all sold out.

Ugh.

So husband's grandma is in a nursing home...and has been for nearly a year. (She was having mini-strokes) Grandpa has been visiting her nearly every day, and Grandpa has seemingly been doing okay for a 90 yo. Now, we just got the news that he has prostate cancer. From what we heard, his regular doctor hadn't been checking for it. Soooo...there's that. Not sure if they can treat it...not sure how long he has...it just sucks.
My grandma had a (some?) polyps removed when she was in her early 80s. The docs wanted her to come back every 6 mos for a check-up and she said BS on that, that she'd be dead before they would ever be a problem. Died from colon cancer at 94 yo, but still had a good life -- guess that's all you can ask for.

I went to a volleyball scrimmage a couple saturdays ago in a dark grey shirt and black shorts. I sit down, look at myself and realize I have navy shorts on. Didn't work with the shirt. As long as your belt matches your shoes, it will soften the dorky old man look.

Last full time job I had, we were all waiting for this lady who was extremely late, was kinda common with her. Finally we get going 20 minutes late (the top 3 levels of management crammed in one van) due to this lady. CEO asks her what the hold up was, she wore two different color shoes in and had to drive 5 miles back out of town to get a new pair. This is when this 60 year old who always scoffed at the young four in the group (I was youngest in my late 20s, CEO was oldest of young 4 in his mid 30s), was informed that us youngins' always kept a few emergency pieces of clothes in a credenza or filing cabinet incase something quick happened. This lady didn't plan well.
It's been my experience that people will notice what you are wearing for about 5 seconds, unless you purposely dress garishly. Navy blue vs black? Meh.

We had a Director of Sales years ago who brought down the house at a meeting several years ago. We had our weekly meeting with all of our coordination and management staff present. He crossed his legs during the meeting and got a weird look on his face. At the next quiet moment he put both of his feet up on the conference table and pointed out his two identical shoes - identical except that one was black and the other was brown. Apparently he tried to get dressed in the dark to not wake his wife and he got the wrong shoes paired. He had another pair almost just like those shoes at home. I guess having the exact same shoes in black and brown seemed like a good idea at the time.
