Lazard with Jax Makes Me Sad

Keep digging that hole you are in. How many NFL teams have you worked for? You can bookmark this post if you want but I will bet you Dez is eventually signed by someone and sees more playing time than Lazard this season. Right now I'm not even that confident that Lazard will be on an active NFL roster when the season starts. Nothing against Lazard but I bet you if you polled NFL GMs and I'd they had to sign 1 of the 2 every one of them would pick Dez. A lot of fans probably don't want their team to sign Dez because of his ego and antics but a GM in need of a WR and wants to win games will eventually give him an opportunity.

I agree with the highlighted part above completely. That's not what I'm arguing at all.

Some NFL GM's love to sign guys that they know will tear their team apart for some reason? I've never understood it.

Dez is probably more talented than Jordy Nelson too, but guess which one has a job and which one doesn't? It's because Jordy is an asset to your team on and off the field. Dez is not.

I hate the Cowboys, but their best offseason move was getting rid of Dez IMO. They have a good young QB, and I'd want Dez as far away from him as possible.

I don't think we've seen the last of Dez, he's just talented enough someone will put up with the BS hoping he lives up to his potential. Look at how many diva WR over the years got multiple 2nd chances with teams just because someone is hoping they are the team the player finally plays well with and knocks off the antics.

I agree.

Dez is a dominant player.

Lazard isn't.

I don't know why this is a discussion.

It's been a while since Dez has been a dominant player. He was great but past his prime now. If I was a GM I wouldn't want him unless he's willing to accept a secondary role. And right now I think he still believes he's a #1 receiver.

True, but does a team take a player who's at least been there vs. someone who wasn't even drafted and hasn't done anything?

If you mean Lazard vs Dez then forget it. It's apples and oranges. They're both receivers but they're competing for different roles.

All I'm saying is is that Dez is a diminished player, and unless/until he comes to grips with that I wouldn't want him on my team.

Absolutely.

His personality may be a large factor too. Seems like a T.O. type where everywhere he goes, it's going to be anyone else's fault.
