Lazard with Jax Makes Me Sad

Pretty ridiculous..no clue what they see in couple of the WR’s that have played...Lazard is better. Strange.

It doesn't look like there's much of chance of any rookie Cyclones in the NFL making a roster is there?

Only hope is that they’re planning to put him on the practice squad and don’t want anyone else to get a look at him.

Probably extremely wishful thinking though.
Yep, that's probably unlikely but teams have been known to do that before.

Interesting that this article mentions 'hiding' Lazard in the preseason.

It would make sense for Jax to sneak AL on to the Practice Squad for a year and see what they got. It was going to be a long shot for Lazard to make any team as an undrafted FA in year one. I do think he'll end up on a PS in Jax or somewhere else to develop and get a real roster shot in year 2.

The only issue I have for Alan is if he doesn't get much run the next two weeks he is losing a chance to gain exposure in the case where Jax chooses not to sign him after the preseason. That would complicate his situation and choosing to become a Jaguar was a mistake.

Not that you ever want anyone to get injured but Jags starting WR Marquise Lee just got carted off with a knee injury. Probably doesn't help Lazard much in terms of a spot opening for him but I guess you never know.

The fact is, Lazard had trouble getting separation from DBs in college, so it was going to be even more difficult in the pros. There were reasons why he didn't get drafted.

Love Lazard and hope he makes it, but he had enough weaknesses in his game to drop out of the draft. He was a bit of a tweener too. Probably could have been a great TE with his size and blocking ability if he put on some weight. Best of luck to him!

He rarely went up against press coverage in college. He’ll face that on nearly every down in the NFL and his lack of sudden quickness and acceleration will be an issue. Great college player tho. Would have been interesting to see him at TE but ISU needed him more at WR.
