Hey Mason City area peeps is Northwestern Steakhouse worth the wait?Showed up at 5:45 told we could be seated at 8:15 did not wait that long.

Probably too late, but it’s the best steak in the area by far. I liked Cafe Northwest in Ames better (was at one point owned by the same guy) but I don’t know if it’s there anymore.

Sorry, I miss typed. It's definitely a Monday. Plants vs Zombies

But Rev my same question remains, What? I'm guessing she's the zombie and attacks the plants or maybe the Zombies come and she saves the plants so you'll all have food to eat.

Used to play a game called Pepper it's similar to to Pitch and Sheepshead I think. Man I haven't played it for 30 yrs. We were poor in college 50 cents a game and a nickle a point and a nickle a set if I remember right. Usually it cost the losers a buck to a buck fifty to play. I think we played up to 21 but not sure.

Niece leaving for college, folks anniversary etc.. had a family supper tonight steak, corn on the cob, watermelon, muskmelon, cukes and fresh tomatoes, homemade chocolate cake for dessert. It was a great meal and a nice get together didn't get to see her much this summer since she was interning at LeMars. Next spring she hopes to go to Thailand and Vietnam on a study abroad deal for her classes.

It's a game. I think we first saw it on Olive Garden tablet. 'cause young kid and electronic games.

Most of the levels are you protecting your house with various plants. Some shoot peas, or fire. It's pretty fun. There is a mini game of playing the zombie.

We have played zombies where we chase around the house too.

My dad taught me from a young age to stay away from horse girls. You'll always be 3rd in their eyes

1.) Their Horse
2.) Their Daddy ('s Money)
3.) You

Can't say I disagree with that assessment after having some horse girl friends.

I'm glad you separated the last two words in that post, or I might have wondered.....:D

Totally channeling my inner Joe Jackson today even though I doing my laundry at home.

I want a French maid, someone to wash my jeans
Each quarter I've made is lost in washing machines
I'm gonna change the world, I could be President
If I could just work out where all my Mondays went
Monday
Laundromat Monday
Monday

I'm imagining a Boxster presidency.....I would assume we would have Key Lime Pie Day and Walleye Sammich Day, for sure.

Oh man, so much good food.

Now that I'm thinking about it, depending on the situation, it might actually be close to a deal breaker for me. It would be different if I got married to someone and they later developed allergies, but if I was on a first date and learned my date never wanted pets and they weren't amazing in every other way I'd probably consider looking for someone else.

I absolutely love Euchre and we play it a lot on my dad's side. Do you guys play to 15 or 12? Because we always played to 15 and I like that better, but a lot of people I've met play to 12
If we play four person, to 10 -- 6 person to 12.

Cool! Think it's Mackenzie. She was a really good player. Had an injury Sr year.
She was really nice the one time I got to meet her. She didn't come off as awkward then. :(

Edit: also, @cowgirl836 were there any ark sightings up in Madison? Ancient looking guys with long flowing white beards wandering around, staff in hand? News reports this morning said something like nine inches of rain???

Finally saw who got the job at Ole Miss. I was close in my guess about a ringer, but the guy was more of a ringer than I expected.

He's been teaching for 10+ years, made tenure at one school, published one book and has the second under contract, published a bunch of journal articles, edited a journal, and probably some other stuff. Sounds like a great guy, too.

I'll probably wonder forever what got that guy into this entry-level job search. He shouldn't have been there, but something in his life got him to that point. At least it wasn't some washout, I guess.

Now I need the jobs that fit me to open up. I'm really chomping at the bit to get rolling. If I can almost beat that guy, I can land somewhere good.

You can find that in several inner cities, just tell the kids to look away and he just needs to pee.

I'd vote for Boxster in a second, but I'm waiting to see his pick for a running mate. We don't want any dickpix scandals, now do we?

Who does that leave us? Put JC there and and I'm sure key club would get exposed, CG with fish knife murders or call a foreign leader a whoar, any other sconnie would have a dead body somewhere, KC would be showing pictures of her cats during debates, basically he would be best to just pull a name out of a hat.

Wait and see. I think Boxster can deal with those issues himself.

Speaking of games to play. We played "That's what she said" with the wedding party a couple of times this weekend. Think Apples to Apples but dirtier but not in the same way that CAH is.
