Reading that article, I have two thoughts.
1. I like that appetizer thingy with the green apples and brie cheese.
2. Who would have thunk the currently much-mocked Red Delicious apple revolutionized the pie world?
Also, who eats Golden Delicious apples? Chewy skin. Mushy fruit. Smells like an apple but doesn't really have any taste at all. Even the skin color is sort of the color of some baby poop.
The pie has to be warm but the cheese must be cold. More contrast!
I told Erik that I wouldn't be surprised if we don't know until Monday. The waiting in is pretty horrible.

Just an FYI, I had a pan of them with topping drying on dining table and dog, who is very large, licked the topping off them down one side of the pan. So when I am salvaging the ones without dog saliva, kids trying to convince me the others still good.
Have to leave in a couple hours for Fayette. Is there any decent place to eat there, or anything of interest?
