Good trip to Minny. Cruised thru BC country today stopped at Weaver Leather Goods and got some new shoes, I had severely rolled the sides over on the old pair beginning to cause leg & back problems.

@BoxsterCy you should have rode down with the gal from Minneapolis, and participated in the MC group ride. It proved that I haven't got enough miles in, held my own and felt ok pretty soon afterwards just not used to riding at that quick of pace.

Be nice of the Iowa State Highway Patrol if they would realize the left lane of the interstate is for passing and not setting your cruise at 65 and blocking traffic, he was an asshat. Thought about getting his plate # and calling in and complaining, but don't want to get harassed by the local highway patrol for complaining about one of their buddies. Yes I believe they do that stuff, sorry for being paranoid.

This isn't meant as a political statement. But Chuck Grassley should not try to tweet. Holy ****. You need like a degree in cryptology to follow.

That New Zealand PM being pregnant got me thinking how our country would handle a president being pregnant.

Not trying to get cave-y at all but I think the answer would be wildly different in 1818, 1918, and 2018 but most particularly after suffrage though.

I mean I think presidents have taken time off in our history. Wasn't one of the Roosevelt's wives essentially acting president for a while too. Edit... Woodrow Wilson

Never disqualify yourself. Let them be the ones to determine if you’re qualified enough, not you.

I think I remember applying for the Wisconsin football job back a few years ago. Used my NCAA football video game record as a major section of my experience.

Did the same with USC too. One day I'll get the job

True but how many have taken off a month?

I only say a month because I feel that's the minimum a new mother should take off. Not sure on reality since at this rate, I'll never be a father.

I think Wilson was off for a long time like on and off for 3 years. I'm not a history guy though

Yeah, I don't really think that's political at all. Because it's not based on content, he's just trying to cram too much information into a tweet so he abbreviates everything and makes things difficult to read. He basically tweets in the way that you imagine a stereotypical old guy would tweet.

If I remember right, you've got a chance to disprove that this weekend;). Sorry 2015 but that was to easy to pass up.

Isn't that about 90% of Twitter?
Nah 90% of twitter is just people talking about things which don't matter. And maybe initially it was that, but by the time I started using twitter people were linking tweets so that they could use complete words and complete sentences. Grassley doesn't do that. So a recent example is:

You can tell that what he's trying to say is "I had a question and answer session with 40 people at FAVA (not sure what this is, maybe a coffee shop?) in Forest City. We had a great discussion and discussed [list of issues that are not abbreviated and separated by commas]." Most people would link the tweets so they could tweet that and get around the character limit. Grassley just abbreviates everything so it makes it more difficult to read.
