Texas game Kickoff announced

Problem is the maui invitational is going on same time so radio guys wont be there

Meh, basketball doesn't start until Monday. Flight from Austin (6:10am Sunday) thru LAX, and land at Kahului at 12:30pm local time. 45 minute drive to the hotel/arena area.

That is true, but the odd part is this time it says "tape delay 24 hours" on Cyclones.tv. That would really suck.

I'd be totally fine with that in California. Nobody even watches local sports here, let alone Texas/ISU. Zero chance of spoilers unless I come on here.

I'd rather wait a day and watch on CFTV at home than have people at sports bars tell me they don't have LHN.

What other conference programs have been forced onto the LHN? I think they only get to put one conference game per year on LHN, right? Has to be a home game, I would think. Has it just been us and KU relegated to LHN? Sorry if already answered in this thread.
Kansas in football, us and some of the other programs in the state of Texas in basketball.

At what point in time does the BIG Twelve conference reel in Texas, and have a true conference.

Nobody will because them and blOwU are the conference's "flagship" FB schools. Texas has been marginal for the last few yrs but name recognition carries a long ways. F*ck it go down there and let Campbell & Co. beat them, horn fans will be glad it was only on LHN when "lowly ISU" beats them.

I know for some not getting to watch a game seems terrible, but the best thing ISU fans can do is not sign up for LHN, let that thing die the miserable death it deserves. Do it the old fashioned way and listen on the radio/ computer stream for a change it's not the end of the world. Just my two cents worth.

Texas did not choose to have this game on LHN. ESPN did. And Texas/Oklahoma are the two biggest reasons we get paid so much by TV. If OU got their way, they wouldn't be playing at 11 AM all the time.

I can’t figure out what package I need from Directv to get this. Honestly that’s the biggest problem. I’m sure if I called they’d be able to tell me but I should be able to figure out what it’s available on.

Longhorn Network will be available to DIRECTV customers in Texas on channel 677 in the CHOICE package or above, and nationwide for customers who subscribe to the DIRECTV SPORTS PACK

See but I think we have the sports pack. At least we get some of the channels I see listed as that. I tried and we don’t get LHN right now.

I think ESPN did this on purpose. There is a pretty good chance this could be a match up between ranked teams. If the game had any national level of interest at all, it would force them onto LHN.

This is a Power Play by ESPN probably to get more subs for their new ESPN Plus service to pay for and I am sure the game will be available on ESPN Plus instead of Cy.Tv and revenue somehow will be shared with ISU I am guessing?

The Cows are our overlords

Thank you for allowing us time on your network, Texas.

We appreciate it....and we'll keep cashing the checks.

The problem is that it isn't just a channel you subscribe to. Either your provider has it or it doesn't. I don't think it has been or will be made available as a standalone channel on ESPN+ or anything like that.

I don't think ESPN+ is going to carry any Power 5 football, so I wouldn't expect it there. What they want is people (especially in Texas) to subscribe to a package that includes the Longhorn Network, even if that means switching providers.

This is part of the ESPN deal with the B12, so I wouldn't expect any additional revenue from just this game. ISU will be paid the same if it were on ESPN/2/U or Longhorn Network.

I plan on attending this game in person. Anyone else planning on going?

For those of you who have been to this stadium before; what was the experience like? Tailgating? Parking? Is the view from the seats in the upper level decent, or should I splurge for the lower level?
We have a group of 4 coming down from Des Moines. Got tickets through to athletic department, so probably crappy visitors seats. Any idea where fellow clones will pregame at?

It’s on PS Vue and you can watch it for free with a free trial. I don’t see what the problem is...

I was just doing a little bit of looking around because I was bored and this should be everyones answer who wants to watch this game. You can stream PS Vue if you have an Amazon Fire Stick.

With the core plan or better you can choose to add an extra package and still get a free 5 day trial. Probably will be everyone's best bet.
