After that I think it gets weird, but it doesn't seem like it'll matter.
It might go to "Fair Play" rules or something....amount of yellow cards handed out to a team?

Idk, as it stands right now I think it is Colombia at 6 points, Japan and Senegal at 4 each, with 0 goal dif, and 4 goals scored. It'll be interesting to see if anything changes in the last 5+ minutes of these two, or if not, what till happen. After that I think it gets weird, but it doesn't seem like it'll matter.
Oh right, yeah it could get weird. A quick google search it looks like they start again with points, then goal dif and then goals scored but only for matches involving any of the teams that could advance. So any match against Poland wouldn't count towards anything.Idk, as it stands right now I think it is Colombia at 6 points, Japan and Senegal at 4 each, with 0 goal dif, and 4 goals scored. 2. Goal Differential
3. Goals Scored
4. Head to head points (or between concerned sides if more than 2)
5. Head to head goal diff (or between concerned sides if more than 2)
6. Head to head goals scored (or between concerned sides if more than 2)
7. Fair play points
8. Draw lots
Old school MLS style penalty shootout! Thanks. I was going to look this up since all of the tie-breakers I knew of were dead even.
Is it bad that I would have liked to have seen it come down to drawing lots?
Or maybe pistols at 10 paces?
Damn it, really wanted Senegal to move on

If I remember correctly that is the origin of Georges' father.I was cheering for Senegal because they had a guy named Niang. I think Senegal is the origin of the last name Niang in fact.
I agree haha, but was upset when I heard the announcer pronounce it differently :/I was cheering for Senegal because they had a guy named Niang. I think Senegal is the origin of the last name Niang in fact.

As the post said it was for shootouts. The MLS didn't think Americans could handle games ending in a draw so every draw was decided with a shootout like this.Did they actually take "penalties" like that (for a foul in the box) or just for the end of game tiebreakers?
That's what I thought, but the caption on the video said "Penalties," so I just wanted to double check. As the post said it was for shootouts. The MLS didn't think Americans could handle games ending in a draw so every draw was decided with a shootout like this.
It's real, and it's spectacular.
