So how does this work? It's been so long since I've job hunted, that I'm sure things are just incomprehensible for me now. Are you saying that you can see the status of your job application online, like there's some kind of workflow for it?

Edit: The last three times I started a new job, it was either a headhunter reaching out to me, or someone I know from the area calling me up and saying "hey, come work for me."

For this particular company you can see your status. But I’ve applied for them in the past for various jobs all across the country and those all show as a “future consideration”. This one is different. Plus, LinkedIn notifies you when people review your profile. I even went and reviewed their so they’d get a notification kind of like a “hey, I’m still interested” type of thing.

Actually........yes I can. We play in Belmond tonight so we will be going about 1/2 from them. The softball field is in a "hole" so that does not lend itself to a positive.

A "fun" night in MC? Well, they should be o.k., they just had a shooting last night, so they usually wait a couple days for another.

On the north side?

Not a Bdubs person, but always the grinder sub with slaw on the side at the OP.
The Asian Zing wings are pretty good. Most everything else is pretty mediocre.

After coaching a sport, the parents usually get me a gift card for a local restaurant and more often than any other it is Bdubs. I take it as a sign that I did a pretty sh*tty job of coaching.

My son wanted cash for a gift card. I traded him a Nike giftcard for his BWW to be nice. My kids won't even take them from me so I have a load of various resturant gift cards laying around. I don't get out much.

I take it as a polite way of saying "We might be thinking about it and we might not. Leave us alone."
I may be a bit harsh, or not. I'm not sure.

What does a $25 BWW gift card get you? 6 wings and a beer?

I just saw the headlines from the globe, so i don't know. I would guess the north. Anything north of birdsalls and its a free for all it seems.

When I finished college, I moved back to mason for a few months and my brother and I rented a house just north of the old Wonder Bread on Federal.

Such a weird area. Like, I didn’t feel fear of my safety once while there, yet two blocks down the street it was bad, bad dudes.

I'll apply for a couple more positions at ISU tomorrow, and a PT thing at the public library that I'm way too overqualified for to get an interview, but the hours are perfect and it pays better than PT work usually does.

Grrr. I must have gotten the wrong impression a bit ago, I thought you had been hired by someone already. Prairie View, maybe?

Yeah, I have only been to that Bdubs by you a couple/three times and I have never been impressed with that one.

One year I got a $100 gift card to Smack Shack as the assistant coach!

I applied to Prairie View on Tuesday, the day the job opened. It closed on Friday.
Haven't heard back since, but it'll be a fast moving search.

The hottest lead is an archival librarian at UNI. It doesn't close until next Friday, so limbo there.
A couple adviser positions at ISU get applications tomorrow, but they don't close for a couple weeks-ish.
