I’ve been pretty indifferent on Lebron in the past but I’ve become a huge fan over the last few years. Dude is just a phenomenal basketball player in every way.

So can all fouls be reviewed with less than 2 min left or just fouls in the restricted area? If it's just the restricted area, James was no where close. The review should have ended there.
Yeah, this is what I was wondering earlier. When did judgment calls (not objective out of bounds calls) become subject to video review? Seems dangerous as slowing video down takes other factors out of play.
So it takes 4 all-stars, home court advantage, the refs making every key call in favor of the warriors, and his teammates to be the most unclutch possible to beat LeBron.

I could have whistled 20-30 fouls on Draymond Green in that game that nobody would have questioned as obvious fouls. Incredible what he gets away with given his reputation.
I honestly don't think I saw him grab a rebound where he didn't foul in order to get the rebound. He had 11 "rebounds".
They got hosed with the reversal of the call.
The original charge/block call made the Aaron Craft charge look like a good call.
Biggest loser of last nights game was the fans. If the Cavs win, this series had a chance of going 7. Now the Cavs have to be demoralized and I can’t imagine it going past 5.
He's reached another level these years in Cleveland...win or lose in the finals the guy is nightly playing at superhuman levels in these playoffs since he left Miami.
I really scoffed and ridiculed the people who were already calling him GOAT when he was in Miami, because it was incredibly obvious he wasn't at MJ's playoffs level those years, a no doubter. These Cleveland years though...he's playing as well and probably better in the playoffs and finals than anyone has ever played.
I'd argue bringing them back from down 1-3 against the 73 win GSW team is the greatest performance in basketball history. Playing like last night and getting another ring somehow could top it. GSW is not nearly as good this year, but that comeback year he had an amazing Kyrie lighting it up offensively and this team...this 2018 team is truly a rusty bucket of bolts except for LBJ.
I don't really have any vested interest in the outcome of this series, but as a basketball fan I'm getting so sick of the refs playing a role in the outcome of the game. The officiating has been horrendous. Going back to the Rockets/Warriors Game 7, the only reason the refs weren't talked about more there was the Rockets abysmal shooting. They were awful.
Then last night, I get the reversal is a dumb NBA rule rather than a ref thing. But there were so many horrible calls down the stretch. Then the Tristan Thompson ejection just set it all off. Dude literally did nothing. It was a hard close out. If you want to take a shot with 2 seconds left on the clock, fine, but surely the guy is allowed to close out. Then they go to the monitor and somehow still say that he swung at his head, which he didn't. Ultimate ref show at that point in time. No doubt they were just making it about themselves at that point.
Give me a Cubs game or hockey over this nonsense the rest of the way.

The reversal was still a ref **** up. They can’t go to the monitor unless there was a question whether he was inside the circle or not. He wasn’t even close. It should have never been reviewed or overturned.
No ****. He should have gotten his second T for jawing at Thompson during that mess at the end of the game too.
Rumor is Thompson is looking at a suspension for Game 2. Possibly Kevin Love too, since he left the immediate bench area. We'll see. The rule was pretty black and white during the David Stern era but I don't know that it's really been tested in a high profile situation since Adam Silver took over.
I want zero tolerance for Green and he should foul out in about 8 minutes of play the rest of the series if anything close to that that happens.
I still remember the year when the Spurs instigated a brawl and the league basically stole a championship from Phoenix with ridiculously irrational disciplinary reaction. If I'm commissioner I don't suspend those Suns players unless I also suspend Duncan for leaving the bench earlier in the game (or hey, maybe let's be logical and just supsend Horry for the rest of the season and nobody else). Who is to say when a teammate is leaving the bench for concern over a player or when it's an "altercation". Horry pretty much tried to decapitate the league MVP...teammates can't get up for that obvious potential injury of the league's MVP on a very dirty play...but Duncan can get up when it looks like his guy might be hurt that's no problem at all.
I can see Thompson getting one for the ball to the face. I just wish if he does get suspended, he would have made it a little more worth it. Dreymond is a douchebag and deserves anything that comes his way.
IIRC, Love didn’t do anything but try to separate everyone. It’d suck if he gets one too.

I guess it comes down to how they want to enforce the rule. To me it's a matter of the spirit of the rule vs. the letter of the rule. How it's worded is absolute, and I understand why to an extent. It's not always easy to determine a player's intent when they leave the bench area, and sometimes even if they mean well it just makes things worse by adding to the confusion.
But there has to be some wiggle room in there somewhere. If a player just takes a few steps onto the court or is just trying to help calm things down, then an automatic suspension is a bit heavy handed.
I don't know. I guess it's on the players to understand the rules, but it's a harsh punishment and a cheap way for an opponent to get an advanatge. Especially in this case when the instigator of the whole thing gets off without so much as a slap on the wrist.
