WARNING: Long story alert

TL;DR version: Im an idiot and should have started with the obvious.

So, my house has a toilet and shower in the basement (counts as a second bathroom, but its not really its own room). Toilet has worked fine since before I bought the house, shower never has.
Tonight, while insulating water lines and improving the efficiency of the house, I figured I had had enough and was going to figure out why it wasnt working.
I found the water line and traced it all over the place, to the shower past the shower, to the toilet and sink, etc. Couldnt find the damn shut off. To do this, i had to tear out some of the ceiling tiles.
Finally, after about giving up, I tried the obvious. CHANGING THE DAMN SHOWER HEAD!!!! Just like that, it worked.:mad::mad:

So yeah, I just spent the last hour or so tearing into **** that I didn't need to. I really need some time off......
My bathtub had a leak down into my basement acoustic ceiling a few years ago. I shined a flashlight up and could kind of make out where it was coming from. I wound up cutting a big hole in the sheetrock to get at the plumbing behind the shower. That wasn't the problem. The shower head was leaking a stream of water onto the faucet and it got behind it and down into the basement. Change the shower head, problem solved. Now what about that wall patch...

Swaddling is great, but it's harder when there's a squirmy little baby in there.

For the first several months you are going to have a lot of little dirty diapers. Some blowouts, but at the beginning most of them are little.

Now Mini-Hopp, he's all or nothing right now. Sometimes he will wizz so much his diaper sags past his knees. Other times he'll blow a deuce out the back and leg holes with no warning other than him going to hide in the corner. He's taken to sticking his hand in there to check out his new creation. That's fun. We get to take him to the bath tub and spray him down then.

Hopefully he'll potty train pretty easily.
Put a potty chair in the corner he frequents. :)

I appreciate the gesture of the people we're doing work for giving us water, but what I don't get is why they think we don't have any in the first place.

I know, most people ask first. Don't just come out and give us bottles of water. We bring plenty of water, don't waste what you have on us. Guy yesterday came out 3 or 4 times with bottles in hand. Hard to say no after he already made the effort.
Should have come out with baked goods in lingerie.

We watch a lot of Dr. Pol around here (oldest wants to be a vet). I grew up on a cattle farm and saw a fe calves being born and more artificial insemination than a busy IVF clinic. One procedure I saw on the show that I never had heard of was when they felt a calf had died en utero and used a tool that
basically sawed the calf in half to make it easier to remove

Yup, Doc Pol has done that several times on his show.

did a ride along with our vet one time when she had to do that last one. Just for the first, swollen body part though. After that the calf had been deceased long enough that......the rest came out in pieces because it pulled apart when she used the chains to pull on it. That was nasty. And the smell. Not nice.

Husband is sitting out in the elements at Marshalltown for a doubleheader in softball. (No press box) You can hear the wind howling across the mic. (weather.gov says 21 mph with 30 mph gusts) Then, he either got sunscreen or dust in his eye, causing him to call the game with one eye. THEN! For some reason this year, his "occasional" seasonal allergies have turned into full-blown allergies. He's sniffing every other sentence. Yes, he took an OTC non-drowsy antihistamine. But, he didn't take it until he got there. Yep...he's a mess.

Oh...and I played this as a bumper coming back from commercial early in game one...

I'm just going to leave this here. Just in case someone might find it informative...

Internets went down yesterday, back by tonight they must have bubble gummed & duct taped it enough to limp along certainly didn't fix the speed at all.

Holy cow the gnats are TERRIBLE in my area. They freaking maul you as soon as you step outside. Really got warm (hot) and windy today. Drank a half a gallon of water while working then probably another quart or more with supper.

If things go right tomorrow I should finally finish #longspring18. looking forward to that.

Rhubarb I transplanted are looking really good will need to get them weeded some time along with getting my yard remowed.
