NBA: ***Official 2017-2018 Playoffs Thread***

Yeah, I think it was time. Nick Nurse is a pretty good in-house option and I'm also hearing Budenholzer and Stackhouse might draw some interest.

My choice is Stackhouse with Bud second in line. I like Nick Nurse, but I would prefer someone with completely fresh ideas rather than what we've seen previously from the staff.

That's probably how a lot of fans will feel. I don't know. It feels like they need to do a little more than make a coaching change but they're more or less locked into the same group for at least one more year, aren't they?

What else are they going to do? As much as I love Toronto, its not exactly a free agent destination. Being brutally honest, this might be the best core they could ever have. If they can't get to the finals with this group, they might not ever.

I get it. I root for a team that's not exactly a free agency destination either. Gotta take your shot and hope everything falls into place.

Stupid move to fire Casey.
Team just isn't built to win it / but certainly wasn't because of him.
They were certainly good enough to compete with Cleveland - few shots that go a different direction and they right in that series. They put themselves in a very solid shot to win the east.

Hope Nurse gets it... pretty big career development to go from ISU assistant coach for a day to an NBA head coach.

Super excited for GS/HOU series.

Lots of teams could learn my what Indiana did. Had a star who going to bolt and got great value in return, and has had some solid draft picks.

Speaking of the draft look at 2 of the teams still left GS and Boston. Drafting correctly is huge. Yes GS added KD, but Klay Steph and Draymond were all acquired via draft and same for the young core that the celtics have.

Toronto has drafted pretty darn well, though, other than that flyer on Cabolco. They've just been in purgatory because they've been good enough they've had to draft low most years.

The Celtics are going to be good for a long time. So much young talent

Up and coming? I'd take him over anybody right now, even Popvich. They're missing their two best players and still might make the finals.
Yeah I wouldn’t say there’s any up and coming about it
