****Official Class of 2019 Recruiting Thread****

Not sure why but everytime I see Hawkeye fans talk about this kid they have him penciled in as a Hawkeye. I think the kid leaves the state.

Iowa and Wisky are the presumed favorites right now. A lot can change and some are expecting him to blow up even more over the summer.

His grandfather played basketball at Iowa.

Prohm is prioritizing KyKy over Carton, no doubt about it. If he feels his grasp slipping on KyKy to UK, then I wouldn't be surprised if Prohm tested Carton's waters, but I don't think we have any chance with him as we have shown he is not our priority.

I like Carton's game, curious to see where he lands.

Carton seems B1G bound.

KyKy to UK? He better be damn good. Even Sacha Killeya-Jones couldn't make it there and he was the #23 recruit in 2016. Tandy is 150 in 2019 right now on 247.

Tandy is rumored to be heading way up in the rankings soon. Like top 50. Even then UK usually has a top 10 guard coming in so I agree with you.

I'm just saying, it seems pretty obvious he is really intrigued by Kentucky. If they offer him and give him a vote of confidence, I would bet my house on Kentucky. However, they could play the waiting game and that could make him mad.

1 thing is for sure, the state of Kentucky basketball is fully aware of who KyKy Tandy is now. I hope we keep working hard on him.

The highest ranked player they have offered in 2019 according to 247 is #26. Even with that huge jump he better be the real deal if he's UK bound otherwise he'll be a transfer target for us in 2-3 years.

That's cool you don't think he is good enough to UK. You may be right. But there is a reason literally every recruiting update about him recently is in connection to Kentucky or Coach Cal in some way. I mean just type KyKy Tandy into google, it is ALL Kentucky recruiting info/articles. There is certainly interest on both sides, that is all.

I typed in KY and it referenced Kentucky. Does that count?

I have thought for a while DJ will be leaving the state and likely to a Big 10 team. I also believe Prohm has already identified a number of other guard prospects he prefers and was surprised ISU even offered. Not that Carleton isn't good or worthy to play for ISU, but the relationship just didn't seem to be there.

Fran needed to get DC's commitment prior to the summer and got the exposure. Doubling the issue is they haven't been actively recruiting many fall back options or transfers (other than Terry from Mpls and Lecure).
