Looked at a pair of new mittens the other day REALLY nice super light leather palms etc.. closeout price $100. Didn't need new mitties that badly. Before I flipped them over I thought probably $75.

Not sure what i am going to do when my old Eddie Bauer wool, thinsulate and leather gloves wear out. If you live in Minnesota you make the search for the perfect glove a side hobby. I have a storage box full of gloves, stocking caps and other misc gear. But of the dozens of items it generally comes down to a handful of true champions that I wear. The starting lineup includes driving gloves (15 or above), driving gloves (below 15 above), cold shoveling gloves, not so cold shoveling gloves, winter running gloves and cold but not "winter" running gloves.

I'm not a member of that church any more, but yes that is one of the "stricter" parts than ELCA. Since I don't understand them to reach that decision on pragmatic or practical grounds, it does not surprise me that a change has not yet occurred. Of course I've pulled the unthinkable for a Lutheran as to where I worship now, which is also a Christian denomination that won't ordain women, though that's not why I'm there...

Not Resident Evil but Ultraviolet is playing right now. That movie was just en excuse to have Mila running around in skin tight outfits for 90 minutes.

Been a fun home owner day. LittleWx and I shoveled before my dad came over to help fix a cabinet. Get that done and go to take the snowblower to the shop and one of the bolts holding the garage door opener up pops out. Finally get both of those tasks done, watch the end of the game and go to take LittleWx out to play in the snow. That is when I notice that I have ice dams forming on the back of the house.Yay me!

Got to listen to about the last 10 minute of the game at work. Glad they hung on.

They were cooking at work today, tried something called a Sorba(?) Like a little Mexican pizza they were really good tried both the green and the red version, lips tingled for about 15-20 minutes afterwards would eat again.

I follow Oklahoma Softball on Instagram. They had a video on their story of the softball team watching the MBB game during their lunch break (college softball opening weekend). I just had to laugh a little knowing how that ended. #sorrynotsorry

Mom brag--oldest had a jazz band competition today. She is 2nd tenor saxophone, the only freshman in a very talented group of saxophone players. She apparently had a solo and another mom messaged me and said she did "amazing". Hubby was there, he said the band did well. As much as I talk about her playing sports, her favorite activity is probably band.

Better crowd at the gamewatch today. They got to see a good game. Had our fav waitress and even had a Pants sighting although his phone rang like 20 times during the game. It was a good afternoon.

I suppose that is true. "Strict" is always a relative term--and I'm not trying to say that they aren't viewed as stricter than most.

I started on how ugly the sweaters/gloves/jackets are for the US team and DH starts telling me how much the stuff costs. The ugly Xmas sweater is like $600. $300 jeans. $150 hat.

The he says "guess on the gloves" the ones that I'm like are fugly and fake western looking. They are the ugliest part so they're probably the most. I guess $700. Nope. $995 for those gloves. That is ridiculous. Ralph Lauren should get fired.

I think I heard the jacket cost $2500.
