That about happened to me in the HS drop off lane this morning. The 4yr old was helpful from the backseat--"Mom, could you not cough like that anymore?!"

Friday I volunteered in preschool. We had one little guy that was white as a sheet and shivering. Took him to the nurse--no temp. Put on his coat, he was still shivering and could not stop. Had nurse take his temp again, was starting to climb. He got a free pass home. Saturday morning I had to wake up at 5am to get people off to volleyball. Went back to bed and couldn't get warm even with a sweatshirt/all the blankets. Happened again later in the day. Felt chills on and off all weekend. Texted the teacher yesterday to see what our little friend had--tested positive for Influenza A along with another kiddo in class. If I did catch the flu, it has presented itself fairly mildly. Debating on that or just a cold. Fun times.
The nasal and sinus and mild cough have been off & on since Christmas. This deep cough & tight chest are recent additions. Past experience says I am prone to lung infections (pneumonia x3). Part of that is my own damn fault as a former smoker. :(

Feeling 50% better today. If I was not a retired old man I would likely have gone into work today. Most definitely would not have done that Friday or Monday. So that's good, right?

Spoke too soon. About an hour ago I got a sudden wave of nausea and it was everything I could do to not hurl. Damn it.

Does it run with the choke on (partially or full) and sputter out when you unchoke it?

It runs with the mixture full rich and but dies before any adjustment can be made (a couple of seconds). This lead us to believe the initial start and very brief run is off of the prime and once that was gone it dies.

This all makes me REALLY want to man up (sick of not) and roll the snow snaffler out and see if it starts. If it does I can always come back here and join the no start club. Oh, hell, one of the two I have will start, right?

Edit: Going to have a ham sammich. If I don't throw it up I going to go play with the Toros.

Sounds like the carburetor might be full of gummy bears.
That's what I think, Throw a tablespoon or two of Seafoam in the gas and let it run fully choked. I bet after a few minutes you will be able to start slowly turning the choke off.

We tried some StaBil is that similar or something different?

Co-worker comes over to my desk and says, "If I don't feel better by tomorrow, I'm probably not coming in."

Dude went out for about 8 smoke breaks today, ordered and ate a huge greasy burger for lunch and was chatting loudly all afternoon with the guy behind him.

Hopefully he survives the night.

Seafoam is designed specifically for cleaning your carbs. It was originally created for boats which sat for long periods with gas in the carbs. Either that or some STP carb cleaner.
