Was one half a fluke offensively?

Offensively was the first half or the second half the fluke today?

Great question and I dont have the answer....but Prohm (who looked shell shocked btw) said in his press conference that if you score 50 points in the first half against KState...."You should be leading by 15 points". Prohm also went on to say that our defense was "Unacceptable", Prohm's words not mine. It will be interesting to see how much defense we play monday nite against the Longhorns.

Second half offens was awful and the fluke half. It wasn’t completely a fluke though because we stopped running offense in the second half. I don’t think the defense was that bad. They were chucking a lot of threes. Wade and Stokes were not missing. Sure there could be some improvement on that side but offense was much worse.

While it hadn't been this extreme, this was pretty similar to a lot of our other games. We've had a Jekyll and Hyde thing going on offensively all year. As bad as the second half was, the final score still hit pretty close to the usual ppg.

I'd say both halves were fluky. We average 75 ppg and we scored 75 points last night, law of averages,

There is plenty of talent on this team just need some one who can coach them
“Plenty of talent” in what context?

There’s certainly enough potential to be capable of beating teams like KSU, but the margin for error is small.

Frankly I begin thinking in the first half that Hilton Magic was missing. I worried that there did not seem to be much support from the crowd. I thought early in the second there was a little push from the crowd but sloppy ball and forced shots snuffed that out. It didn't seem like an Iowa State game. We had a crowd but not support - - in my opinion.

Very obvious they don’t know how to play against a zone defense

Without Hans, for sure. They'd do OK with sets out of timeouts, but the 2-3 against Lard and Young was a really good coaching move by Weber.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I agree this group will not be winning another big 12 tournament in KCity anytime soon but, this group should be able to beat teams like K-State inside Hilton Coliseum

Being “able” doesn’t mean it will happen every time.

We were not a favorite for a reason. We have enough talent to win, but we don’t have “plenty” of talent to the point it’s anything but a toss up. With students on break and the inclement weather, Hilton is not moving the dial much.
