That game was fixed

I'm pretty sure he was trying to run a pick, but he still has the right to run to a spot plus contact occurred before the ball was in the air. So bad call yes, but I do think it was a pick play.
Sad thing is with all the game extending picked up flags that call doesn't even stand out, especially since that was followed by the great connection to Butler.

Is college like the NFL where you are allowed to pick within one yard of the LOS? It was definitely a pick play, but Lazard wasn’t fully past that 1 yard mark when he did it. I don’t know if it was a good call or not because I don’t know the rule.

I think the pick rules have been changingso who really knows.

Their DB's were tiny. It had been amazing to watch Lazard this year because he has been held like that on just about every jump ball this year and has still caught a good majority.

I believe the college rule has no yard restriction, but contact downfield (other than holding) until the ball is in the air is legal. Rules may have changed but I believe that's what it was.

Now you know why it's hard to keep a good coach at ISU. The mountain is too high to climb when you have to beat the zebras. I'm sure it's becoming clear to Campbell. It's obvious to Rhoads.

I don't think the game was fixed, but just more of the same incompetent officiating that we have to deal with every year. I'd rather have robots than these dumbasses. I think a few of the refs on this crew had mailed it in for the year.

Incompetents implies that the refs should mess up on both sides of the ball. Didn't see very much of that in this game.

It was Snyder's last home game. If you don't think the refs had that in the back of their minds you are crazy. Obvious bias from the start. Any other game we would have won by three tds. Kstate is awful.

You don't waive off penalties. That rarely happens and usually a good reason, such as another ref noted a pass was actually behind the LOS or similar. That was absolutely fixed as much as one or more refs can fix a game.
