#4 plants ISU flag at midfield

Keep it classy young men. You made the only statement that needed to be made by playing your hearts out and winning the game. I like energy, and passion, but showing discipline and respect is more important than being a doosh and wagging your flag in the air. It becomes a part of the story, taking at least some of the spotlight from the true narrative of an incredible game played by a team of young athletes who banded together to win a football game through a bit of adversity and against all odds.

Campbell in the background has the look on his face like he's saying "Hey, come on now, don't do that" and at the same time he's thinking *haha oh you... ok, we earned it*

Didn't fred hoiberg win @Kansas 4 straight years as a player? If there's ever a time to "plant a flag" it should be then, not after a losing streak of 18 years.

Funny, maybe, but he definitely shouldn't have done it.

I love it, all of it. These "kids" need to savour this moment, especially in the face of the cockiest SOB since Manziel. Go State.

Also, special love for it being the state of Iowa flag, not the ISU flag.

It was a pretty pathetic flag plant and nowhere near as demonstrative as what Mayfield did at OSU. It was one guy and got immediately pulled out of the ground. BFD.

To be fair, Mayfield's flag "plant" didn't even stick in the turf. Total weak sauce. At least Edwards got it stuck AND had time to pull the flag back up for the state of Iowa to fly proudly (for a moment or two).
