You should have better things to do!
Yep. You can go on architectural tours; or plantation tours; or gourmet tours; or drink way too much, pee your pants a little but just enough that it is uncomfortable and end up eating Crystal burgers late at night and realize that they probably saved you from ending up in the hospital.

I may have experienced one of those things on my one trip to New Orleans.

This sounds familiar. Husband takes a dozen to work every day and leaves them in the break room. Chili, salsa, spaghetti, goulash. I have even started making baked tomatoes lol. Only I slice them, spice them, throw them in a little olive oil, and roast them. Pretty good with a little parmesan cheese on top.

that last idea is perfect. We needed a side last night and I was debating how I could do like, baked tomatoes. That's a perfect idea. Maybe I'll try that tonight.

So this post'll be all over the map, but whatever.

So thanks to genetics (thanks mom and dad) and law school, I finally have glasses. They came today and I think they look pretty good. Plus, now I can do the dramatic "take off your glasses as you make a legal argument move"

Also, we had dean's cup kickball and softball tonight (where the med school plays the law school), and I knew it's supposed to foster a sense of friendship between the schools, but honestly, I dislike that school more now then when I was entering law school. I know it's just tribalism and thinking your team is nice while they're ********, but this competition seems to really bring out the ******** in the med school. Like today: they won kickball and we won softball. In softball, after we argued a call one of them said "yeah, well just remember that when you do the same thing," even though one of their runners in Kickball hadn't tagged the base, ended up scoring, and we lost by one. Also, we had about 20 people while they had 30-40. Almost everyone played on our team, but only 10-15 of their best players did. When we complained, they said we couldn't complain till we had more girls there (only one girl showed up for us) and besides those players "just wanted to watch." Whatever douchebags.

Also also, for people who have seen and love "the room" by Tommy Wiseau, they are coming out with a movie about the making of "the room" The trailer's out, and it looks really good (NSFW)

this seems to be how it goes when rec sports are a little competitive. Next time, have your base person shank anyone who fails to tag up.
It'll be fine, you said the other team is in med school, right? Field experience.

Better than what I said. I was joking with a friend and said, "it'll be fine, we'll just be suing them for malpractice in a few years"

When we were kids we would make toast. Put some mayo on it, a couple of tomato slices and a slice of cheese. Stick it under the broiler until the cheese melts. Eat

Got up early to drive to Fridley to meet a management candidate for an 8am interview. Still not here.
Is it in the Walmart? Have you checked the parking lot for someone lying face down out there? There was a major meth lab discovered a couple of years ago in a hotel just a couple of blocks from there.

So our modem at work took a dump and we are dead in the water. Pretty paralyzing without Net access - we run our entire POS system through it. (That's Point of Sale, BTW, not Piece of ****. Or are they both the same?) We're back to handwriting 3-part invoices for material. The contractors think it's hilarious...........

With my bad handwriting I'd need to break out the old Smith-Corona.
