EDIT: I should add that the most visibly happy historians seem to dwell in the darkest subjects. That's a phenomenon I don't understand. The other happiest one I know spends his time studying genocide. He also runs marathons, and just did Boston this year.
I wonder if it's like divorce attorneys. I feel like they're happier in their marriages then you'd expect because they see ****** marriages all the time and realize their's aren't so bad.

So this post'll be all over the map, but whatever.

So thanks to genetics (thanks mom and dad) and law school, I finally have glasses. They came today and I think they look pretty good. Plus, now I can do the dramatic "take off your glasses as you make a legal argument move"

Also, we had dean's cup kickball and softball tonight (where the med school plays the law school), and I knew it's supposed to foster a sense of friendship between the schools, but honestly, I dislike that school more now then when I was entering law school. I know it's just tribalism and thinking your team is nice while they're ********, but this competition seems to really bring out the ******** in the med school. Like today: they won kickball and we won softball. In softball, after we argued a call one of them said "yeah, well just remember that when you do the same thing," even though one of their runners in Kickball hadn't tagged the base, ended up scoring, and we lost by one. Also, we had about 20 people while they had 30-40. Almost everyone played on our team, but only 10-15 of their best players did. When we complained, they said we couldn't complain till we had more girls there (only one girl showed up for us) and besides those players "just wanted to watch." Whatever douchebags.

Also also, for people who have seen and love "the room" by Tommy Wiseau, they are coming out with a movie about the making of "the room" The trailer's out, and it looks really good (NSFW)

Was leaning towards asking people over to watch the Akron game Saturday morning since we are not doing a club gamewatch and not everyone gets CBS Sports Net. Now leaning to "not" cause I'd have to clean up some and when people come over they expect food and ****. So work. I wouldn't mind watching the game but I don't feel like working at it.

@jcyclonee @VeloClone and me will be there. jC will bring beer.

OK, since cowgirl has apparently decided to skip the interrogation, I will answer jcyclonee's Tico question: Who can live without a couple of smothered sanchos every once in a while?
( Hey those would be good for Boxy's potluck Saturday!!!!)

So if my daughter decides on med school, should I tell her to stay away from UW-Madison because the med students are douchebags?

Also, this is a pretty good softball/kickball update. There's real emotion in there.
