Checked on son, he said all four of my brothers, my sister, and his dad's normal brother had all called to check on him. Wasn't expecting much from doucher BIL, husbands two sisters, or MIL. Made me sad that son said he hadn't heard anything from his only living grandparent, even though I have known for years she is the devil incarnate; it means even at 27, he notices the rejection.:(
 
Well, I'm now positive that we will be late to the dr appt, which means late home, which means getting some crap food at the concession stand and being gassed out when I finally get to home home. Then getting up early to watch the Clones kick some hawk a$$, but driving while everyone else in the vehicle sleeps. Long stretch infront of me.

Favorite part of this journey, met up with my favorite niece (ok, only niece but I do still like her) since she works in the Mayo system now. Spending a year here until she gets admitted to med school. Has an interview next Friday. Hope it goes well so she has one offer and can relax about that step. Willing to, and actually wants to, be in a rural setting; so we need more like her.

We just arranged to have my daughter job shadow my sister (doctor) in Chicago to see if that's what she really wants to go to school for. She'll be flying into Midway but flying back from O-Hare, on Spirit. After booking this, I realized that this makes me nervous.

Daughter just informed me that this girl in HS she knows had her mom announce that she is a lesbian. When I was mid 20s this woman basically stalked me, asked me out several times, even tried "hooking up" with me at a few parties (I honestly wasn't that type). Now hearing this, I think that since she couldn't have the best option (that be me) for a man, she turned away. I wonder how many other women I have led down this path? I need to know how to not be so desired by the opposite sex.

Son has now taken every crappy airline there is, flew on Spirit recently, and is a veteran of Allegiant, Frontier, and Jet Blue. Views Jet Blue as classy compared to others.

It's the end of the world as we know it. Disney closing tomorrow.

I kind of took that the opposite way, but er . . . yeah, you're probably right.

Digression: As I walked Z into preschool today, other parents and observers noted that one kid seemed a lot more excited to be at school today than the others.

On the way out, I saw a couple of parents locked in that struggle where they're almost dragging their kids, but their kids are leaning back so far that they just aren't budging.

I want school to be good to Z. I'd like to keep the enthusiasm going forever.
