Also for those following the hurricane coverage it sounds like we are headed down this weekend to assist FEMA. I'm hoping I will be able to provide updates.

What I remember is the humongous blow-up dolls for "Honky-Tonk Woman" that were sitting on a rack up above the band, and were kind of flopping because they were slightly deflated. And somewhere around 30000 people singing "Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday".
Oh, the guys weren't waiting. Trust me. The WOMEN were waiting. And I saw quite a few guys run behind the bathrooms & concessions, and stroll back out again. That grass got its share of nitrogen that night.

I would absolutely have done that but wasn't drinking so I didn't.

Pretty sure my old work friend Bonnie will get deployed. She is on the Corps temporary housing temp that supports FEMA. I've lost track of how much time she has spent away from home working these disasters the last 10 years, tornadoes, floods, hurricanes etc. And we haven't even had the big one yet, the California earthquake. One of our structural engineers has a go bag at work. He's part of search and rescue team (sniffy dogs etc with him as engineer on safety) for that. Supposed to grab the bag and be ready to go.
Guessing the Texas congressman who object to every single emergency assistance bill will be singing a different tune this year. Hypocrites.
Yeah Fed, it's kind of the beauty of FEMA they keep a low employment number and utilize other DHS resources in times of need. It sounds like we will be doing housing inspections and logistics.

At work. I watch Z during the day, and I'll take her to preschool when it starts next week.
That's our best solution to our daycare/allergy problems. We're self-funding this final year, and I'll dissertate when Z's in school, most evenings, and over the weekend.
Ah, that makes sense. I was hopeful this was at dinner, and that she just had a slightly bemused look on her face
