I'm glad you all got to enjoy the Stones at Trice. I was in one of the beer trailers changing taps and throwing empty kegs for a few hours. We had to stop selling before the Stones ever took the stage due to Mick's request.

Trapped in a trailer full of beer doesn't sound bad, unless you add the fact that there were hundreds of drunk and pissed off people wanting that beer. We had to have security come out to remove some of the more violent ones.

I'm thinking she had another job for you to do and your either not finishing the story or didn't catch her drift back in the day. ;)

I honestly found out it was the last part of your reply later on. I was naive with women then. Wish I had caught on, she was good looking.

Welp, heres a thank you affordable care act time. We need to go see another doctor so they can get us lined up for an MRI, harder to get now. First hospital is 2 weeks to schedule, second said a week. I have leveraged the first against the second and they said there is a chance for 2-3 days. Doesn't matter if I write a check myself. My daughter several years ago was a phone call and walk in and do one with a follow up the same day.

Guessing a stage 2 which is 4-6 weeks, was the opinion this morning. But we can't start therapy until we have an MRI and we can't get an MRI for a while possibly.

Trying to keep him from missing much school at the same time also.

That was also the concert where a friend of mine was faced with a moral dilemma. After we got the stands closed down, one of the concessions supervisors was called to help out somewhere else, handed my friend the envelope with the concessions money from a beer stand and told him to run it to the office.

We were suppliers, not on the sales end. They did not know each other at all and nobody was wearing a name tag or anything. Yet this guy entrusted a stranger (who was also a poor college student) with roughly $10,000 cash.

Being that I went to school during the Walden years, the only time I felt Jack Trice vibrate was during a Rolling Stones concert.

Ah, attending as a student was better during the old Clyde Williams days with Johnny Majors. Highlight memories in no particular order:
  • Matt Blair tackles. Woof.
  • That 23-23 tie with Nebraska with both teams missing extra point kicks.
  • Buddy Hardeman running down the sidelines on his way to a TD and get tackled by an OSU player who came off their bench and clotheslined him. Refs awarded us the TD.
  • The special brownies Gabe's girlfriend baked for us.
  • Having to carry a drunk freshman Marty back to Dana House.
  • Snowball fight in the stands and snowballs getting launched onto the field.
:D

Did we mention Gr8 will get more worked dumped on him?

Thankfully we just heard "Synergy" and the obligatory "I'm looking forward to this journey"

Questions?

On the list of best things thing about retirement is I don't hear "synergy" anymore, ever. It was my most hated work ******** term. I had a personal quibble with "utilize", just say use, damn it.

My boss would love to have meetings & use all those big words, but she very quickly figured out that hourly undergrad employees are unimpressed with group meetings and will NOT skip class so that "all of them can be there at the same time". Actually, she didn't figure it out quickly. I explained it to her a half-dozen times before she finally gave up on the idea.

Scans up here in God's Country are a sameday or next day thing. Pretty sure if it was urgent Suburban Imaging would do it this afternoon or tomorrow if it could wait. CAT scan a couple weeks ago was next day. Last MRI was same day.

We got to see things like Jamel Halloway spending the 2nd half of the game on the sidelines in a fur coat eating hot dogs.

At least Walden always made special teams interesting. He would call onside kicks and fake kicks at any time and Jeff Shudek was awesome at onside kicks.

My sister was at the game. She couldn't pull any weight with the mayo system. She was CFO for austin and albert lea just about 2 years ago. Guess she needed to stay longer. If I have to drive to MSP and get it done tomorrow its better than pounding the pud for a week to get an answer.

Does Stage 2 mean he probably won't play football this year but won't have to have surgery?

To keep him from missing much school, you could push him through the hallways on a wheel chair. I don't think he'd mind.

As a former federal employee that worked with contracts, guidelines has to be right up there, too.

I came up with way worse reasons than that to skip class as an undergrad.

Three stages. Stage one, light damage, estimate 1-2 weeks. Stage 3, he hopes to get back for track season (good bye football good bye wrestling) Stage 2 -- 4-6 weeks estimate. They play another non district game friday (why I told him hes sitting no matter the results since it doesn't count towards making the playoffs) the two games after that are poorer teams and should be winable by just cleaing some things up. The fourth game probably is between another title contender (2 teams make it). He's hoping that game to for sure be back offensively.

Here's a wild variable. My wifes family heals like snails, (lingers forever) my family heals like a miracle happens (talking half time of many things). Whose genetics does he have with this?

Ah, welcome to the 21st century and the new evil Mayo. Makes me nostalgic to the time when Mayo was just a world renowned clinic in Rochester. Thankfully the hospitals and clinics in the Twin Cities are well established and the area is well covered. Expensive as **** but lots of options and competition.

Me a couple weeks ago.
  • Family doc, "Referring you for a CAT, they will call you."
  • Next day Suburban Imaging calls me and I set up appt
  • Apt was in and out in like 20 minutes
  • Later got a thank you postcard signed by the CAT scan team at Suburban.
Last MRI was at emergency room. Was probably lying down for the MRI within 30 minutes of arrival.
