Our middle school didn't really have the equivalent of high school Geometry or Algebra II at the middle school. They did bus them to the high school though, and then their first math class in high school was Trig. My current ISU student has all of his engineering math done in high school then except diffy q's.
Diffy q is the class that finally made me realize that I had no desire to work hard enough to be an engineer when I was 19 years old. Well, that and when Physics took the turn into electrical arcs and stuff like that. My tiny brain just couldn't bring itself to comprehend that stuff in the limited amount of time I allotted to studying.

Lol I'm sure my brain would explode. Kids are lucky they got husband's brainpower.

I do think the prof makes a lot of difference. ISU graduate had a really good one for diffy q's, told his brother to take that prof no matter what, so his first class last year was 8:00 a.m. diffy q's. But worth it.

I had some crazy grumpy poopy math prof named Gregorac. He got mad when I passed out during a quiz after I gave blood.

We gave it a shot, like @CloneLawman posted, in the War of 1812. Like most things in that war, we didn't do very well.

Cliffs Notes:

Canada: Aye, we won, hosers!
USA: Yay, we won and got that poem/song thing to boot!
England: Who gives a bloody rip, Wellington beat Napoleon in 1815!
Indians: We got ******, ****** hard.

At least you knew what diffy q was. I had to look it up.

Ate some watermelon last night. Stuff must have been juicy. Having to visit the facilities about every 30 minutes since.

I think DiffyQ was the class that DH did not do well in. Or maybe it was Calc 3 he did poorly.

The is only one Strange Brew, the vintage song by The Cream. Hey, wtf did you expect, it is Throwback Thursday (not Friday at all, man) and I am fully committed to it.

She's a witch of trouble in electric blue,
In her own mad mind she's in love with you.
With you.
Now what you gonna do?
Strange brew, kill what's inside of you.

Songs about crazy women, who would have thought?
I like the song but there's definitely two Strange Brews.

My brother and I used to say that drownin' in beer was like heaven, eh? Now he's not here, and I've got two soakers... this isn't heaven. This sucks!

I think Calc 3 is not so bad according to kids. Multivariable I think.

Oldest who went to a non-ISU school undergrad had proof calculus, that sounds awful.

yeah, for a second I confused Canadian Bacon (the movie) with strange brew. I know I need to be embarrassed.

I'd like to say it was the profs fault that I didn't do well in Diffy Q but it was more of a "the knob at the end of the derivative" thing.
