We had someone in our office retire on Wednesday after 42 years here, leaving ME as the oldest person in the department, and second-longest tenured. Damn, that makes me feel really old today (a sore back isn't helping either). :(
I'm guessing that referencing Barbara Mandrell and Crystal Gayle songs in the other thread probably isn't helping much either.

Dang it. When I signed on to this Relay team, revkah asked if I really wanted to run with this one dude again, since I swore that off last year.

I said, "No, it'll work out." I was stupid. It is not working out. On the plus side, though, the team has two people who refuse to listen, wind each other up, get us into some dangerous and weirdly complicated plans, so we've got that.

All right. A moment of venting (which is actually happening all day).
The lesson: Don't do stupid things. When you know better, do that instead. I could have been on a really good team with someone I've run this with before, but I failed to ask just one more question.

Yeah, I never care why they're there or how they got there either.
I know you said you didn't care how they got there, but I'm going to tell you anyway...

I've doubted my gut feeling three times this past week and have regretted it every single time. Logic has been batting as well as my Twins lately.

Fun fact: cutting a thin layer of skin off your finger doesn't hurt all that much, but it bleeds a ton. I accidentally cut myself with my razor, and it bled for hours; I think it's done now

Give me a little more credit, it's more like my weekly shave
Don't feel bad, Woo. I'm pushing my second half century and despite sporting some facial hair, the rest of my face needs shaving every other day at the most. I can generally push it to every third day without it being too bad.
