Top available transfers.

Copied from r/CollegeBasketball

  1. Cameron Johnson SG/SF Pitt, Grad Transfer two years to play Johnson is easily the most desirable transfer. He could help any team immediately and averaged an impressive 12ppg and 42% from 3 at 6'7. Having to years left to play is enormous and is why he is/was being pursued by UNC, UK, and Arizona. It seems like UNC is the team to beat as long as Johnson is cleared to transfer there.

  2. MiKyle McIntosh SF/PF Illinois St, Grad Transfer the versatile McIntosh would be a good starter or role player for numerous high major teams. It seems like Oregon and SMU are involved, but teams like Michigan, Duke, UNC, and Nova could really use him. Averaged 12.5ppg 5.6rpg and shot 35% from three.

  3. Geno Thorpe PG/SG USF, Grad Transfer Thorpe was a high volume scorer for a bad USF team and is presumably looking to play a smaller role for a better team. Syracuse, Pitt, and Seton Hall seem to be involved, although SH may have backed off. Cuse seems like the best combination of potential playing time and team success. 15ppg 4.5apg 38% 3pt.

  4. Vance Jackson SF UConn, Sit one play 3 Jackson had a promising freshman season for UConn and probably played a bigger role than he was ready for due to injuries to Gilbert and Larrier. The big wing shot mostly threes, but hit a very high clip for a freshman. He seems to be considering Rutgers and Baylor, but Baylor seems like the best fit since they have had success with big wings like Taurean Prince recently. 8ppg 4rpg 41%fg 40%3pt.

  5. Jalen Coleman-Lands SG Illinois, Sit one play 2 Coleman was a very highly rated recruit who has not developed to be more than a 3pt shooter, albeit a very effective one. DePaul is rumored to be in the lead because they hired his former HS coach. 8ppg 36%fg 38%3pt

  6. DeJon Jarreau PG/SG/Brison Gresham PF/C UMass, Sit one play 3 This package deal is very intriguing since only teams with two open scholarships can put their hat in the ring. Jarreau is the more highly regarded player, but both were top 150 recruits. Creighton, Auburn, and UConn are involved, but UConn seems to be the best fit as they could really use both players. Jarreau 10ppg 4rpg 4.5apg 24%3pt. Gresham 3ppg 3rpg 63%fg 27%ft.

  7. Samir Doughty SG VCU, Sit one play 2 Doughty is a quality scorer who played a key role for VCU this year. He had to sit his freshman year due to academics so he will only have two years to play. The rumor is that academics were the reason he is leaving so maybe JUCO is in his future. 9ppg 4rpg 28%3pt

  8. Collin Smith C GW, Sit one play 3 Smith is a bit of a sleeper who unexpectedly started for GW over their top recruit Kevin Marfo. Smith averaged 6ppg 4rpg and 1 block in 18 mins. 6'10 and shot 39% from 3 in a small sample(10 makes)

  9. Kam Rooks C Cal, Grad Transfer Rooks is an enormous center who played a reserve role for Cal while battling through injuries. He can give quality depth and backup center minutes to a team in need. 5ppg 4.5rpg 1block in 17mins.

  10. Juwan Durham PF UConn, Sit one play 3 Durham had a disappointing freshman season, but was coming off two knee injuries so rust was understandable. In theory, sitting next year should allow him to recover even more and allow him to resemble his former self. When healthy Durham was a top 50 high school prospect and a quality face up PF. 1.5ppg 1.5rpg in 8 mpg. The list of schools show that people still value his potential: VT, ND, Lville, Duke
Other notable transfers

Brandon Alstorn SG Lehigh, Grad Transfer with two years to play

Bryan Alberts SG Gonzaga, Grad Transfer with two years to play

These guys are valuable because they have two years to play right away. Alstorn was a role player at Lehigh and is being looked at by UMass and Alberts rarely played on a loaded Gonzaga team.

Darien Williams PF St. Johns, Grad Transfer

Rashad Muhammad SG Miami, Grad Transfer

Zach Lofton SG Texas Southern, Grad Transfer

All three of these guys can play immediately and could be valuable reserves for high major teams who need depth.

Jethro Tshisumpa C Arizona St, sit one play 3

Troy Baxter SF/PF UNLV, sit one play 3

Sedee Kieta PF/C South Car, sit one play 3

These guys were highly rated recruits who under performed as freshman. Kieta is visiting St. Johns soon which seems like a good fit.

That would be a huge get

Agree. We have a few big men on roster but I think Beverly is more of a 3, Brase will still be recovering from ACL injury early on, Lard is TBD. I think this guy could be a better version of Holden and worth using a 1 year scholarship on.

He avgd 9.1 rebs/gm his sophomore year, which is better than Hogue's junior year, and very similar to Ejim's junior year.

Odd that all his numbers, except assists, went down from his sophomore to junior year.

Doubt there's interest from ISU but I remember he visited Ames when he left Brown
