This is true. At the highest level, we need guys that with high probability will come in and get buckets. We really just have one need and it's guys that GET BUCKETS
If Starter PT is Wilson's #1 priority, he isn't coming to ISU.2- Grad Transfers Duane Wilson
6'7, 230, 35 percent from three, 80 percent from free throws as a junior. And I think he's smart.
With 12 total starts returning and no players that have played pg even in high school? Not many decent programs have an easier path to PT.If Starter PT is Wilson's #1 priority, he isn't coming to ISU.

Everyone has recruits coming in.
Ha, this never gets less funny. This isn't junior high.Prohm is very likely not going to make any attempt to recruit over a senior in Jackson and a top recruit in Wigginton. Nor will Wilson see that duo as a guaranteed opportunity for +30 mpg.

If Prohm can get a starter to help at pg, he will. We have plenty of time and usage available. Potentially Wilson will be intimidated by the zero pgs we have on the roster, but if Prohm if a decent recruiter we'll have a chance.
Jackson and Wigginton have very little time as pgs at any level. To think we'd pass on getting a pg that could help or we're not interested in over-recruiting is silly. It's more than silly, as it wouldn't even be over-recruiting. It's just recruiting. We have a need and the opportunity that Wilson is looking for. What is Jr High is your insistence that Jackson and Wigginton are not PGs and that a kid who get benched (while his team significantly improved) would view ISU for his one remaining season as an opportunity to max out his PG PT.

That is what I am, poorly, trying to say. My point was, that we have two people that have come here to be the PG. Bringing in another Prep PG prospect is not our biggest need.So why couldn't you make the exact same argument about Jackson this year?
That's what I am confused about. Why do you want a PG? We need shooters, not ball handlers. We have 2 maybe 3 guys that are already vying for the PG position, sure maybe not P5 level PGs yet but still here to be PG,and a big opening in what was Matt and Naz leaving as our 3 point threats. Donny Jack can't be the only 3 point threat if we want to be successful next year. Guess we have a disconnect in what we are talking about, or I just have a different idea of what our needs our. Either way, nbd. To each his own.Morris-Kane is the hole in your contention/opinion about having guys signed to play pg.
We don't have a single guy next year that's played point guard at this level and many of the candidates haven't really played pg at any level.
We have two major needs. Replace/find our mismatch in the frontcourt and get a grad transfer guard, preferably a pg.
I just may be totally out of the loop but how is Jackson not a PG or played PG much at any level? He was the #1 ranked JUCO PG when he came here. If he was the best at that position wouldn't that mean he played that position in games?
