My only issue with the potential matchup with Kansas is that it is extremely boring. We play them 2-3 times every year as it is. Conference play is over, let's do something different.

Can we just beat Nevada first...
Guys, Nevada first.
I've thought the same thing. I can guarantee you KU and their fans aren't thrilled to see us but having to possibly play Izzo in March? Tough draw for Kansas. Miami matched up with them really well too.Call me crazy but it would not surprise me at all that Kansas will not make it out of the round of 32. Miami or Michigan State will be a quite formidable foe for Kansas.
Yeah they're not happy at all about it.
I love personally love the draw, because we match up well with them and they only have 4 "dudes". I'm pretty sure the rest of them still wet the bed
...but name another Power 5 conference that the regular season and tournament champ could meet in the Sweet 16. I think it's a pretty ****** draw for KU personally. Might not even come to pass, but I hope hope hope the matchup does.
First off, that's going to be a very small sample size. It would almost require two teams from a power 5 conference and a split champion to even enter the discussion. With that said, the Big Ten regular season and tourney champions are also in the Midwest region, but couldn't meet until Elite 8.
I never like to get ahead of myself. We have to get the chance to destroy Kansas, before we can. That doesn't mean destroying Kansas is forever on my list of top priorities.Whatever helps him deal with the season-ending loss we're preparing to deal him.
So zero. ... which is my point, there's only a half a dozen good conferences and they didn't reshuffle teams to avoid this scenario in the Sweet 16 for the B12. No one else has this issue.
After that all bets are off and you can't assume anything. Like I said, I personally like the draw, but I have a feeling KU fans feel differently.
Yeah they're not happy at all about it.
