ISU opens at +7.5 against WVU

I think we're due for a bad game. Hard to sustain what we've been doing

A lot to play for, but yeah, you wonder if our guys will have a hard time sustaining this level of play after an emotional week.

Will it be senior night in Morgantown? Or was that vs. Baylor for them?

I'm surprised people like this line so much. WVU is really really good
I disagree. They are tough, but they aren't good at basketball. What Huggins has them do on the court is not basketball. It is an abomination to the sport. Any method of playing a game that entirely relies on the authority of the game not being able to hold a team accountable for their rule infractions in order to be successful does more harm than good to the sport.

If what you are saying is that it will be difficult to win, I would agree. Officiating crews have repeatedly demonstrated an unwillingness to consistently call a WVU game according to the rules of the game and not get sucked into allowing the game to degrade into a hackfest free-for-all. The worst part is when they seem to have a compulsion to "even things up" in the second half of one or both periods when they are educated by Huggins that they have (correctly) called many more fouls on his team than the other.

Carter might be the best on ball defender I've ever seen and Huggins will scheme everything to keep the ball out of Monte's hands. It's going to be tough

Could see this going anywhere from a small win to a blowout loss.

We haven't had a blowout loss in years. Iowa this year is the closest thing I can think of. I'm talking 20+ points as a blowout. Or down 20+ most of the game and maybe get within 15 once the scrubs get in the game.

The Deandre Kane year is the last true blow out I remember @ West Virginia. Down by 20 or so at halftime and lost by around 30 I believe.

They're good, but they're not that much better than Kansas and Baylor. Not predicting a win, but I'll be surprised if it is anywhere near as bad as the game in Ames.

And yet we are a game ahead of them. I don't think they've been playing as well lately.

You are right about us being due for a bad game though.

Is Esa Ahmad still out? That would help.
