Just off the top of my head, Monte's 30 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and zero turnovers on 10-16 from floor and 4-5 from 3 is the best line I've seen from a Cyclone PG.

Some other contenders: Tinsley vs UCLA in Sweet 16, 2000. Tinsley triple double vs Mizzou in 2000. Stinson @ KU, 2005. Garrett @KSU 2010. Kane vs Baylor 2014, Kane vs UNC in NCAA Tournament. Morris vs. KU last year. I'm probably forgetting some.

But tonight may top them all. Your thoughts?

Hard to beat the Sweet 16 Tinsley game given the stage.

Man I'm going to miss Monte next year. With what you put up there it reminds me how fortunate we have been with some of our guards.

You are telling me Cory Mcintosh doesn't have a game that compares to Montes game tonight? I find that hard to believe Blum.

Hard to pick THEE best but, damn, one of the best for sure. The clutch threes and that sweet pass to Thomas had me up out of my living room comfy chair!

I remember Kane having an amazing performance when he went up against Marcus Smart down in Stillwater.

His stats were 29 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists with 1 steal and only 2 turnovers!

He also passed up a potential game winning shot to Naz, who famously nailed the 3 pointer to break the curse at Gallagher-Iba. Kane is still one of my all time favorite players.

Edit: I guess I should add Kane had 3 overtimes to stuff his stat sheet, still impressive though.

Even I was young when Hercle Ivy played. Was he a shooting guard or a PG? He really could stuff a stat sheet though. Kind of wonder how he would have done in the three point era.

I know Hornacek went off for a bunch of assists against Iowa one year but I can't remember if he scored much that game.
