Best game ever by Cyclone PG?

i don't know if I would say it's "the best" but it's definately Monte's best. Not only were his stats very impressive, but his control on the offensive side of the ball as well as multiple clutch shots to keep us in control of the game. It was a performance that all of us fans were hoping to see out of him as a senior coming back for his last year. I am happy for the guy.
I agree and hope that he has many similar games the rest of the season. The question is, will this continue or was it a rare occurrence?

One that I forgot about is Mike Taylor's performance against Minnesota on 11/21/2006. 33 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds. 25 of those points were in the second half where the Cyclones overcame a 10 point deficit to win 68-63. (so he scored 49% of the team's points)

We'll see how Monte performs the rest of the year. He always has proven me wrong.

He probably had 10 turnovers as well, so that leaves him out.

I don't have the stats (looked for it online, but only a story writeup quoting 22 points) but what sticks in my head is when Johnny Orr held Justus Thigpen out of the first half of a game vs Okie State in 1992. The furious comeback that Thigpen ignited (Cyclones were down by 18 at half) is also one of the best performances by a Cyclone guard in my opinion. Capped off by his final assist to Fred Hoiberg for the game winning layup.

Hell. There were a lot of unforgettable performances. That is why I continue to watch.

I wasn't able to find TO numbers for him in that game, the team had 11 total... you wouldn't think a box score from 2006 would be impossible to find, maybe I need to check out the microfilm to confirm. :)

Possibly the greatest and loudest Cyclone game ever. At least top 2.
