I'm sorta in the same boat. We lose a lot of ball security this year. Some experience in the backcourt would nice because, IMO, turnovers are bound to go up next year. Monte's assist to turnover ratio is something we've come to expect recently versus something we have to strive for.

Experience doesn't automatically mean better, but it doesn't hurt when Huggy is throwing ten guys at you trying to get you rattled.

Yeah, our turnovers are bound to go up whether we get a 5th year at that position or not. Monte is in a class by himself in that regard.

Oh right, you mean if you take the 80's approach to basketball rosters where each position is defined by the height of the person playing it.

No, I mean by having several multipurpose forwards and guards. We're adding height as well. Prohn isn't a 1-5 guy, obviously.

No, he means in terms have having a multifaceted team that isn't vulnerable in many aspects. We have way too much redundancy this year and guys that don't complement each other well enough

In a perfect world, had Lard been eligible, I think by now we would be seeing Lard/Young rotate at the 5, Burton/Bowie at the 4, and Babb would join the rotations 1-3 spots.

Agree. I don't know which game it was but I think Holden was still perceived as going to improve, and Bowie subbed in for Burton with both looking fresh and doing some good things. But it just didn't work out. Disappointed we couldn't witness that perfect world scenario of yours, especially with our experienced senior guards back for only one year. Dang. Kudos to Prohm for working and adjusting with what has materialized.

One year from right now, I have little doubt that we'll be a better team overall. We're going to experience growing pains the first half of the season, certainly, but I have little reason to believe that we won't be better. Now, that may not translate to wins due to youth and inexperience, but as a whole, we'll be better. I'm putting lots of stock into Prohm's ability to coach here.
Am I understanding this correctly? I think I am and vehemently disagree.

A better team overall? I don't know how you can say that. A 'potentially good' and improving team maybe, with good young talent, and HOPEFULLY some contributing juco/transfer bigs.
