eh Prohm got the job in June.

Carter: Larry Brown wanted him bad so you must think he had to have some upside

Ernst: was a wildcard, he was injured so the staff didn't have a huge clue on what they could've had.

Eh, Prohm had both Carter and Ernst for a full season and let the better one go. Ernst couldn't have contributed less than Carter who likely won't be here next year.

Xavier is a really good program and Ernst had additional offers from Seton Hall, Pitt, Georgia Tech and Minnesota.

Those aren't the kinds of offers Carter will have when he transfers.

But what you're not factoring in is that Ernst needed the year of juco. We wouldn't have "year of juco Ernst" this season.

Here nor there
Only Prohm is surprised.

It's hard to get competent big men, and even harder when you make egregious evaluation mistakes.

Moving on, hopefully we don't miss on Carter for a third time.

Three left to play three? Med red shirt (eligible I am guessing, only played six games at ISU before shutting it down) and one year playing at JC so far?
Yes, he got a redshirt for last year. From JUCO, I believe you have to graduate and have a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for NCAA so this current year is the only one he's burned.

This post makes me think you don't know the difference between personal and personnel

Don't cry snowflake. Any other "I told you sos" you'd like to get set up? I don't even understand why you bother with ISU basketball. If every single thing that happened was the kick to your groin you portray it to be and it was easy to avoid it then why wouldn't you?

Also, if Ernst was here there would not be a spot for Lard right now. Who does everyone want for the next 3 years?

The Carter/Ernst situation isn't that complicated. They were both told they weren't likely to play much. Ernst decided to go since he could play juco right away and stay up to two years if necessary. Carter stayed because his best option was juco for a year or sit out and go mid major and he was hoping he could play his way into the rotation. Obviously he was wrong and now a juco year is off of the table after he more likely than not leaves at the end of the year.

So please, stop blaming prohm for picking Carter over Ernst. I'm sure he told them both they were not likely to play. Blame Carter for not seeing the writing on the wall and give credit to Ernst for making the most of his opportunity at Indian Hills.

Personnel mistakes like Ernst/Carter can get you fired fast.

How is it a mistake. He wasn't ready. Who knows how it will turn out in the end. Do we know for sure he was asked to leave? If you get a better player than you let go how is that going to get you fired?

My word when Ernst was signed this place had a minor meltdown because he was never going to be good enough to play. Now we have a mini meltdown because we let him go.

Full EMO all of the time. The hand wringing can be heard for miles.
