Get them in today!

I'm going to go with ABT (Abbott Laboratories) which is currently trading at 38.41

The only reason I picked this stock is that out of about 50 stocks I have on my list it sems to be the only one that isn't severely over priced.

Actually I'm going to go with GLD (Gold) which is currently trading at 109.47

Its tough picking a stock with a specific start and end date. I'll have to hunt to come up with mine.

I am thinking in the near term to not buy anything. I am actually waiting for a selling period as I want to unload a little of my ETF positions to redistribute to more dividend paying stocks. I will be watching the market closely with a quick trigger to sell.

GILD (Gilead Sciences): $72 / sh

+ They have $9 / share just in cash.
+ Stock is selling a 6x PE, while the other drug companies sell for 12x
+ They essentially have the cure for Hepatitis C
stock will probably go down before going up, but could easily go to $95/sh; it used to sell at $120

This is great. We should totally keep this thread going all year for market conversation. I'm fascinated by it.

My big long term play is still Under Armor. Long term. All these endorsements they have overpaid for are eventually going to pay off big time. They have overreached now but in 10 years, I see a stock that's trading at 29 or whatever now up in the 50s or 60s consistently.

It would probably be good if you put the stock symbol and current market price.

I typically trade stocks under $10. No reason other than I like to buy more shares. $72 for GILD might be great but the reality is I could only buy well under 100 shares. That's just not fun.

After Brexit, I bought in to Barclay's (BCS). Now that I have an over 50% return on the stock, I am wondering if it is time to talk profits and sell. Again, I may wait and see what happens but have a quick trigger to sell.

Short the next stock Trump mentions in his Twitter rants? Of course, he will need to call me and let me know before his post. I missed out on twice Boeing (Air Force One bad! No, wait F-18 good!), then on Lockheed Martin (F-35 bad!) and General Motors today (Mexico cars bad!).

Not exactly sure.

General Mills makes cars in Mexico? I figured they made something besides breakfast cereal but cars is definitely diversifying

Took me awhile to figure this out. General Motors. For a second there I thought General Mills had gotten into the car business.

I guess after looking over my watch lists and stocks I'm going to swing for the fence this year with a stock that really paid off during the last tech bubble. That and with Trump coming in and talking tough with China I like American Superconductor, AMSC trading at 7.36.

Also considered DDD, and more of a value play in GME that I really like. Also like strong dollar UUP this year but that just won't move enough for this contest.

PFG was good to me last year. This year I'm probably going to wait until March to buy anything.
