I think this team will be focused for conference play. We wont be as good as years past, but this team has 7-10 seed written all over them.

Well last I checked KP had us tying for 4th in the big 12 with a 9-9 record. I think that will be enough to get us in. Some people need to step off the ledge. We are not even close right now to missing it. If we beat the teams we are better than that is all we need.

I voted yes, but the fact that we are only going to be a 3-5 point favorite at home vs Texas Tech is a terrifying thought for the rest of the year...

I'm going to be optimistic and say we sneak in based on a 10 - 8 conference record and a couple wins over 2 out of the 3 between KU, Baylor and/or West Va. at home to give us a couple solid wins, and pull off the win at Vandy. Go 9 - 9 or lose at Vandy and we will be firmly on the bubble sweating until the last minute.

Vandy is really struggling right now. I have more faith in winning that game than getting 8+ wins in the Big 12.

9-9 with a win at Vandy gives us an expected RPI of 51, I don't think that gets us in, at least not without being on a play in game, which is why I voted no.

I think something like 90% of P5 teams with an RPI in the 50's have made the tourney since 2009. It's just not as hard to make the tourney as it was in the early 2000's and previous to that.

Too soon to completely freak out. We have one bad loss right now. The Gonzaga loss has no effect and the Cincy loss has little effect. Moreso that they would have all been nice wins to have. Let's talk more after tomorrow.

I've always said the play in game participants are only in the tournament if they win their PIG to get placed on a slot in the bracket. So in my book a PIG appearance is not necessarily a no tournament season.

This team has issues to work out but I believe they will and will make the tournament.

Voted no because we're not an ncaa team right now and with 5 seniors starting, I'm not overly confident that there will be much improvement. We're very lost on offense and the defense has started to falter as well.
