NBA: ***Official 2016-17 NBA Regular Season Thread***

Pretty sure I remember him playing point guard in some playoff games. But maybe it was Sprewell...
Spree is more likely of a candidate than KG, IMO. KG was a great player and could beat other Forwards off the dribble, but I never felt he was skilled enough as a pure ball handler to play some Point Forward. I looked up the Roster on B-R, and it has Cassell listed as PG, which I thought was right because I remember him being the missing piece. They brought him in as the floor general with 2 championships on his resume and he brought it all together.

Dwayne Wade calling out Hoiberg. Complained they have only one set play at the end of games and that they are too predictable. Said they also put too much pressure on Butler. Love seeing Chicago struggle. Not because of Hoiberg, but because I hate Chicago.

George Karl's book will be a good read

I figured he was done in the NBA before this book. This all but guarantees it. Why would any player trust him at this point?
I guess his career speaks for itself, but he comes off as a total prick.

It's hard to see any way this ends well for Fred.

The fact that now Wade and Butler last year feel free to complain to the press about this stuff (which should be reserved for the locker room or Fred's office) says to me they have little respect for Hoiberg.

Bulls on their way to another loss. Lopez and Gibson both ejected, Lopez maybe looking at a possible suspension. And they get the Spurs on xmas day. UH OH

If Fred couldn't control guys like Butler, then I had no illusions of Wade or Rondo having any respect for him. Those guys are going to walk all over him, especially if things go really bad down the stretch.

Second year in a row. Wonder how long they'll give Freddie to turn it back around. Thibs may have been tough and hard-nosed on his players, but he got he best out of them. Fred doesn't.

Reinsdorf won't eat 3.5 years of Fred's 5 year contract. Fred will probably get the rest of this year and start next. He won't make it past year 3 though.

Hopefully when Fred is fired, Forman and Paxson are fired too.

There was talk last year that a decent portion of Fred's contract wasn't fully guaranteed, if things go really bad this year wouldn't surprise me to see Fred be let go.
