if you think the effort has been there all season, than we are watching separate games. One thing that sticks out to me often is our lack of effort to 50/50 balls, and on simple rebounds. To me, one of the main reason we lost to Iowa was because we had little to no effort.

Amen - someone gets it. Rebounding is about effort - another one is help defense. We have little to none of that.

The problem isn't with players saying these things, but with the fact their play doesn't match. **** being overly "classy". I'd love for us to be as superior as we think and then let them know it, but the reality is we need a different mindset imo.

As always. Its the go to rationalization of old people and fans that dont know basketball. If this team gave 110%, had 2 6'10" plodders who can show 50% from 3, and shot 90% from the line we'd be national champs.

When are people going to start getting this expectation right?

As inconsistent as ISU is...they've been consistently predictable at least. It got a bit better last night, but you could sense when the possessions were going to consist of lots of dribbling, maybe one pass to someone out of position, and a shot.

He said they didnt belong on the same court when, for 35 minutes, they did. We should have blown Drake out, that is not debatable, and I hope the players realize it. However, these comments, and the comments Morris made regarding Iowa, make the team look arrogant, especially right after you failed to prove it on the court.

Remember, no guarantees in sports.....plenty of those who said we wouldn't lose to Cincy at home, either. OU better than Cincy, imo. Having said that, I just hope we can come on this message board in February and criticize/ridicule all of the negative posts this week, including any of my own. That would be worth it.

Well look no further than your "leaders" Morris and Long. Arrogant shiat talkers who don't really have the game to back it up (but at least they have cool hair). Minus Niang, and even McKay, Morris is very mediocre. Long is a career 36% 3pt shooter, which is very pedestrian. Respect Thomas much more for just playing the game and not running his mouth.

From what I have seen, OU's defense is horrible, but their offense is not all that bad.

This team was born on third base and thought they hit a triple. Preseason Top 25 yet they haven't proven anything other than they don't belong in the top 25.

This. Iowa lost to UNO at home....we absolutely BLASTED UNO at Hilton. Then we lost to Iowa. We had a direct comparison to a common opponent and it didn't amount to ****. No sense in trying to W/L the rest of the season right now because we still don't have any idea what kind of team this is.
